This is the End.

Three weeks left. Wow, five years gone. So to update you all on the end of my semester and undergraduate degree, I am official done with one class. My Electronic Sound Performance class wrapped up today. My final piece was a performance with a slot car race set. I hooked up the race track to some telephone taps and amplified the sound of the tiny race cars. It turned out well. I have one last performance may 2nd for looptopia. Once I solder up my mini-theremin I will be done with my instrument construction class. I still need to work on my Coop Journal. I'm recording a track with all of the instruments I own. around 9 or so.
I'm also working on knitting and crocheting myself a poncho reminiscent of Clint's from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly , A Fistful of Dollars , and For a Few Dollars More.
I'm also coordinating a few more programs for the end of the year. One being a RA round table discussion about the school as well as a crit week documentation day.

Thats all for now.

Kyle's Knitting

BFA de-install!

Well the show must come down now. we have 3 days to do it. No problem.

So lately I've been watching a lot of movies. I've also been into watching films experimental to mainstream I like em all. This past week some residents and ra's have been getting together to screen movies. earlier in the week I watched Sweeny Todd, Amadeus, Quills, and Hard Candy. I've also checked out Ma Mere and Children of Men. Tonight possibly Nighthawks or the Dreamers. It's been a lot of fun. I've gotten to use to all of my social functions being part of my job. So doing this now has helped me to be social for myself instead.
Its also turned slightly into a stitch and bitch function. Due to a couple of us knitting or crocheting during the movie. I think thats my favorite part...

Four is the Magic Number

To Beth (because I know for sure she will read this) and all supporters of this blog,

Last night, while watching a movie with some fellow Chicago Building folks, I finally grasped the basics of knitting. I can now cast on, knit, and pearl. The only sad part is that yesterday was the fourth time that someone has attempted to show me these basic techniques. My friend Kiki spent 20 minutes teaching me the basics and I forgot in about 37 seconds. Rob, my fellow blogger, tried to teaching me on two separate occasions...I failed both times. But last night one my former residents was successful in helping me understand the essentials of knitting. Thanks Kiki, Rob, and Noelle, for sticking by me through the hard times of knitting ignorance. I am now once step closer to my life long goal of becoming just like Gromit.

Thought this was funny...why is the northern hemisphere on fire?
