For your enjoyment I am going rank the best places to eat on campus. I will not be ranking by any traditional methods such as service, facilities, prices, etc. I will rank these eateries by a new method thought up by yours truly. I call this the Buffalo Pizza Ranking Methodology. In layman's terms, the business that creates the best buffalo pizza pie is obviously the most qualified place to eat on campus. So sit tight and enjoy the inside on campus eating.
To rate the following restaurants on campus, using the Buffalo Pizza Pie Rank, I rated the following 1-10 (1 bad 10 best). I will explain each ranking I give.
Let’s begin with Fames Famous Pizza. Fames is located on the strip between Anderson Hall and the Tech Center. I have yet to find out what is so famous about the pizza. Maybe it’s famous for the pizzas continual mediocrity. I found my buffalo slice to be bland and somewhat boring. I therefore rank Fames a mediocre 5 for a mediocre pizza.
Owls Nest is located on Broad Street across from Peabody Hall. As a former Peabody Hall resident, I use to frequent Owls Nest. On the positive side there was never a time where my buffalo slice came out cold. I remember one specific encounter where I dropped my slice but Owls Nest was nice enough to give me a free replacement. The negative side of Owls Nest lies in the fact that I have never received a consistent same size pizza slice. Once in a while I received a rather large slice, although this seems to be a rarity. Unfortunately for Owls Nest my last slice was on the small size so I must give the company a 7.
The student center (a.k.a. the SAC) is located next to Tuttleman. The SAC does offer pizza; however, I have never seen buffalo style pizza. Under my method, I must rate the SAC a sad 0. Sorry for any SAC lovers out there.
I will move on to Liacouras Walk where Maxis is located. I have become a huge fan of the buffalo pizza at Maxis. They have almost perfected the art of combining the right amount of meat with sauce. The picture below shows how good the pizza is; after all it is half eaten. For their hard efforts on creating the worlds best buffalo slice, I give Maxis a well earned 9.

Eddies Pizza is a small hole in the wall located on the “strip” right next to Fames Pizza. I don’t know if the guy who takes my order is Eddie, but his hard work ethic (I don’t think he has ever missed a day of work) translates into his awesome buffalo slice. Although the buffalo slice lacks some flavor, it makes up for some faults in its general texture. Therefore, I rank Eddies a whopping 6.5.
I must say I am a rather new customer at City View, but I had to include them in my ranking. I typically only purchase wings or cheese steaks from City View but there is no way I can properly rank CV without tasting their buffalo slice. Below is a picture of their pizza. The pros lie in a massive amount of chicken. I felt satisfied with the chicken alone. The negative aspects of the slice were the equally massive amount of grease along with a slightly burnt crust. Because of a combination of good and bad, I rank CV’s buffalo slice a massive 7.5.

I hope this gives students a general insight on the places to eat on campus. Sure, my ranking method did not involve the services you will receive, facilities you will eat in, or prices you will pay; what it did do was tell you who has the best buffalo slice on Temple’s Campus. The grand winner goes to Maxis. Enjoy.
