April

Hey again! It's been a while since I've written anything because things have been pretty hectic...
I just got back from urban beats practice. Our urban beats team has been working pretty hard trying to get our act together before the show next week. We'll be selling tickets all next week for the show which is Friday, May 8th! It should be a good show for anyone who wants to come :)
In between school work and dancing, I've been spending a decent amount of time volunteering at the Jewish Home. As part of my service learning project in Nursing 140, we need to do 20 hours of community service so I've been doing mine there. I actually just finished my hours today. It was a really good experience and only a 5 minute walk or so. A lot of the people there have grown up in Scranton so it's really interesting to talk to them and hear stories.
The weather up here has been absolutely fabulous- warm and sunny most days. It even got up into the 80s this weekend! It's hard to get into the work mode when it's so nice outside, especially when all the other schools are just about finished for the summer if not already out! We are finished May 22nd but I guess that's what happens when you have an incredibly long Christmas break! Second semester was definitely even better than the first semester so I'll actually be pretty sad when it's over...
Well, I promise to give an update in the near future! :) Talk to ya then!

Nice to hear about the volunteer work you do as a nursing student. I think post grad student should do the same in order to see the profession on more of a first hand basis.
