Senior Year Frenzy
What a week and it’s only Wednesday! I’ve been home, in the Bronx since Friday in preparation for my Teach for America interview on Tuesday. I want to teach in NYC, Chicago, or DC. I’ll find out on the 17th so I will definitely keep you posted. It was nice to be home; however, all I did was study for two exams and prepare for my interview. My trip back to Scranton last night was so crazy! The bus driver could not find the gate in the Port Authority bus terminal and when we arrived to Scranton, he asked us where the bus terminal was! If I knew how to drive, I would have driven myself.
Wait. I just realized I did not introduce myself. As you can see, I am a very busy individual. My name is Cynthia David and I’m a senior elementary education major and French minor. I am currently juggling 21 credits and searching for a job for after graduation. I am also a part of the Honors program and I’m working on my thesis, which is “the use of national languages as a medium of instruction in African primary schools. There is this misconception about senior year being the easiest year, but I beg to differ. I am excited to see how this semester full of academics, extra-curricular activities, and post-graduate plans play out. Time management is key! I am very involved in the campus community. I am a member of the United Color’s Organization, Student Education Club of the University of Scranton, and I volunteer in the Scranton community. I am excited to share my hectic life with you.
I have a long night ahead of me. Tomorrow, I have my second geography test, yes geography. After a long night studying for History, I don’t know if I can stay up tonight. I’ll definitely figure it out. I am eager for the weekend to be able to breathe again. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week and definitely be safe this weekend. How did my first blog go? Leave a comment. I can’t wait to catch up next week!
