Its about that time...

I cannot believe it! It's finals week and we all will leave Scranton shortly. I used to laugh when people use to say that college goes by really fast. As senior now, I can definitely say that's a true statement. Time always goes by quickly when you are in the presence of good people and are surrounded by an awesome community. It's hard not to feel welcomed here at the U and thats one thing I'm going to miss when I graduate.

Okay okay okay no more tears. I am going to be extra happy when all these exams disappear!! I have 3 exams and 2 papers due this week. No one said 21 credits was easy. I can only image how stressed you are right now. During this time of year, you will not catch me in the library. One of my friends went to the library on Monday night and found not one place to sit. If you haven't gotten the memo, DeNaples is open until 2am during this hectic week. I just pray that the so call storm does not come our way at least not this week. During the fall of '08, finals were pushed back due to weather so I hope it's not a repeat this year. I wish you all good luck this week with your remaining exams.

I'm leaving for the Bronx and Friday night after my economics final. I am excited to go home but a little sad about leaving my friends. Even though I've been away from home for a long time, the longest being 5 months when I was in Senegal, it's always nice to see my mom and brother once in awhile. I look forward to sleeping in and not worry about papers or exams for 3 weeks. Yes, I'll be here for Intersession, working on my senior thesis.

Well I hope you all get home safely. If you're coming back for intersession, I like any type of fish, mac n cheese, and anything that doesn't have meat in it. Have fun and I can't wait to share my crazy adventures with you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Does dead week even exist?

Welcome back everyone!!! I hope you enjoyed your break and are ready to get back into the swing of things before leaving in less than two weeks again. After being away from home for almost four years I was ready to come back. Don't worry, by sophomore year, you will feel the same way too! Remeber I said I was going to wake up early to shop, I sure did. Surprisingly enough, I shopped for others and not for myself for once. 34st wasn't as bad as previous years. Of course Macy's was packed, but I was in and out. By noon, I had to call it quits. The rest of the weekend I just relaxed and tried to study for my History exam on Wednesday.

The trip back to campus was horrible. I normally take the last Greyhound bus at 7:15pm but of course, the first time I try to leave early..... I was at Port Authority at 1:30pm and was not on a bus until quarter to 4pm. Yea.. thats the same thing I said and mind you the boy was scheduled for 2pm. Once on the bus, it took 4 hours to get to Scranton instead of the usual 2 hours. I was not a happy camper. I also missed the Advent Liturgy which is a beautiful ceremony here on campus.

Okay Okay Okay, enough of the complaining. I always try to find good in everything even though this week was pretty tough. Its official, DEAD WEEK DOES NOT EXIST. This is the time where everyone is suppose to be studying in preparations for finals next week. I had an history exam and a philosophy quiz! I did well on both but still, the mere thought of having exams and assignments during dead week is mind boggling. Everything will pay off at the end of the week when Seniors get to celebrate being Seniors at the Holiday Party. I am looking forward to hanging out with my fellow classmates outside of a classroom. I'll let you know how everything went next week. Now go on and get to studying. I wish you luck. Until next week...
