Community Service Day

Every Semester Saint Leo has Community Service Day and for this semester I decided to go to TroopSend. It is a not for profit organization that makes care packages for the troops overseas. The group of us that went bagged Halloween candy to put in the boxes and went on a grand tour of the storage warehouse. We learned a lot about what the organization does and about the military because TroopSend works very closely with the different segments of the service. It was a lot of fun and I have even talked to my sorority about going back!

The Bee- Round 5,000,000

So we went back to the Bee (for those of you who have not read my other blogs the Bee is actually Applebee’s) which we frequent nearly once a week since my freshman year for Half off Appetizers and ridiculous amounts of random fun. All I need to say is it is pretty sad when the waiter knows you by name, asks where any one of your friends are if they are missing, and knows that you are over 21 and when your birthday was because he was your server that night too! Happy Birthday Jen (Finally)!!!

Halloween at Home

Being a senior definitely has its perks. A great example of one of these perks is the fact that my schedule is completely devoid of all Friday classes which is amazing because I was able to go home for a long weekend for Halloween. I was able to go trick or treating with my cousins who are 5, 3, and 8 months and I went to one of my brother’s Football games which I didn’t get to do last year because Italy is kind of a far commute. My Vikings (my brother attends the same High School I went to) won their game and we all went to dinner after my brother showered off (he smelled really bad- he of course had to give me a hug in his nasty, odiferous condition). I love weekends at home!!!
