Sweet Summertime!!
So we have been on summer break now for almost 6 weeks and I feel like I haven't done anything productive with my time. I had taken two weeks off in the beginning to spend some time with the folks and run some errands before I started working my regular summer job. My boyfriend Eric and I and a few friends went camping on Sebago Lake in Maine. With neither of our parents there, we had to fend for ourselves and do everything ourselves. It was really weird at first but we got used to it eventually. We left on a Tuesday and came back on a Thursday. I don't think that we could have picked three worse days to go. It was so rainy and so cold we couldn't really do anything except sit in the tent and play CatchPhrase!
This is what our campsite looked like...it rained the whole second day that we were there and it was about 30 degrees the second night. It was so cold! As uncomfortable as it was though, I knew that I couldn't complain too much because there was no way I was coming back home until Eric was ready to come home.
This is Eric cooking the wild turkey that he has shot a couple weeks before we left. I told myself that I wasn't going to try it because I'm not a fan of eating wild things. I ended up trying it and liked it a lot.
The smoke was so bad from the fire. Just getting too close would cause your eyes to burn for a minute. Eric decided that his ski goggles would be helpful for the night!

So now I have been working at Hannaford for about a month! I've been there for two and a half years and it is definitely time for me to find a new job because I get so bored! I think I'm going to have to stick it out for this summer and look for something different next summer! UGH!! Oh well!
Well I suppose I should go get ready for work. I have to work until 9:30 tonight; not something that I am looking forward to!
