wow..what a week!

Hey everyone!! So for my second blog I figured I'd fill you in on how absolutely stressed I was the past week and how I eventually talked myself out of it.

So, because I am a culinary arts major I am required to do a Co-Op job over the summer. (Basically, this is a paid internship that you have to work at a job that you interview for for the entire summer and do assignments about that job and your experience and at the end of the summer you will get a grade for your internship. In all actuallity, it can benefit your GPA if you do a really good job.) John Knorr, the Dean of the Hospitality Program (really nice guy btw), sets up employers to come to SNHU and interview students for various jobs. There is only one problem with that...most of the employers are from NH or MA...and I'm from NJ. Now, a lot of my friends are just getting a job away from home and (since housing is sometimes available at the jobs) living away from home this summer. I would do this...but I really didn't want to lol..so basically I started on a major online search of reputable Wedding Cake decorators in NJ or NYC so that I could do my Co-Op job and get to see my family this summer. This process COMPLETELY stressed me out. I was terrified that no one would answer my emails and I would have no idea what to do. Luckily, many employers contacted me and I have a bunch of interviews set up for when I go home for spring break (which is in TWO WEEKS!! i'm very excited!) one stressful situation averted :)....for now..i'll keep you updated

This week consists of Practical Exam after Practical Exam after Midterm. I have SOOO many exams this week. I had my nutrition practical exam today, which basically means that we had to cook for our exam rather than write (which is kinda awesome if you think about it)..it went really well today so I wasn't too stressed. Tomorrow is my baking practical exam...That should be interesting lol I, then, round out my week with an English Midterm which should not be fun at all.

O well, you gotta put up with all the bad things before you can get to the AMAZING weekend!..I'm planning on going to Northeastern University to visit one of my very best friends from high school and spend St. Patty's Day in Boston for the first time ever! I'm very excited!!

well i think that it for today. So I will leave you with a litte tidbit from my daily life...

if you are desperately craving a good "guy movie", go see 300!! It was actually pretty good considering it was a war movie.

That's all for now! See ya! :)
