Back to School... But Not for Long

Hey all!
It's me again. I figured since I was a tad late (really late) posting my last blog I'd go ahead and post another one just for funzies.

Now if you're anything like me you're probably either enjoying your last 24 hours of spring break or (far more likely - and in this case more accurate) doing the homework that should have been done a week ago. Either way I'm sure that a thought has probably crossed your mind recently (especially this side of break) and that thought might go something like: SCHOOLS OUT IN LITTLE MORE THAN A MONTH!!! How'd that happen?!

Well maybe you're not thinking this, but I sure am! Where has the time gone? One second I'm sitting down for my freshman summer orientations and the next *BAM! WHAM! WHOOSH!!!* nearly 9 months have gone by and there are 5 weeks left to go! Unbelievable!

It really makes you think.

It's times like these that I really begin to assess the things that I keep telling myself I'd get to, but never really got around to, like: "I'll join that club" or "I'll get that job interview" "I'll get that hair cut", "I'll do that paper", etc. etc. etc. Seriously, it's amazing how it always feels like there's so much time left to get things done, but it's just Father Time pulling a fast-one.This actually brings to mind a quote by Harvey Mackay, the best-selling author and inspirational speaker, who once said:

"“Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't
own it, but you can use it. You can't keep
it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it
you can never get it back.”

Now I don't mean to get all deep and philosophical on you, but the message in these simple words are just so true. Especially in a fast-paced world like today's. Time flies-by and sometimes we (myself included in this one) don't even notice. Though if we do notice we (I) usually start freaking out because of all the stuff we (I) have left to do and limited amount of time left to do it all in.

With these thoughts in mind we continue forward towards our final destination and in the immortal words of the Steve Miller Band remember that "Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin' into the future."

"...slippin'..." is right. Slippin' right to graduation! Have great 5 weeks!

Introduction

Hey there,

For those of you who are reading this, but don't know what it is, let me explain. This is a weekly blog to talk about, well, anything. (Though it'll probably focus on what's new and happening at SNHU). But since this is my first blog I think a little introduction is in order:

My name is James and I'm a freshmen here at Southern New Hampshire University. I'm involved in a bunch of stuff here on campus and am truly enjoying it! But enough about me. I want to hear from you! I'd like to take this opportunity to invite anyone interested to feel free to send me an email on anything that you would like to have blogged about (my email is james.koble@snhu.edu). Feel free to send anything! It could be an interesting story, things going in the world, at school, politics you find interesting, the weather, or really whatever you want! (Though if you want to keep it SNHU related that would be fantastic).

Well that's about it for this week. Hope you all have had a fantastic break. See you back at school and I'll talk to you next week!

James
