         <title>Coffee Chaos: the Pursuit of Awakedness</title>
         <description>Recently, I&apos;ve begun to noticed that as the days until the end of the year get closer the amount of caffeine based beverages rises exponentially. It seems like the amount of coffee taken in by the average college student could probably fill up a swimming pool. For EACH student! That&apos;s a lot of coffee.

Don&apos;t get me wrong now. I might not be a huge fan of coffee, but I&apos;m a big endorser of caffeine. Some days you just can&apos;t get by without it. Take last weekend for example: after volunteering at a concert here at the school for 8 hours and helping to tear down after the show I ended up not getting to bed until after 4am. What&apos;s worse is that that 3 hours later I got up to finish writing a paper for my class at 10am. If not for shots of energy drinks I don&apos;t think I would have made it.

There&apos;s just no substitute. In the past two days I have been awake 41 hours out of 48. If you want to get technical, 85% of the time over the last two days I have been awake. I would be even mildly conscious without caffeine!

I just made a coffee run with a friend to Dunkin&apos; Donuts to pick up their $.50 iced coffees (which are apparently delicious by the way). She&apos;s just finished throwing back her second one and looking for thirds. And I don&apos;t blame her!

With the schedules we keep anything less than an unhealthy amount of caffeine in our diets would leave us falling into a comatose state during classes or being zombies. Though we are all kind of zombies anyway at this point.

I would hate to see the world run out of coffee. That would be a slow, boring, cranky and zombieesque world. Even if you don&apos;t like coffee there really is no denying that it really does make a huge difference. Especially for college students. America might run on Dunkin&apos;, but a cup of Joe is what makes the world go around. </description>

         <title>Easter Sunday</title>
         <description>Hey again or shalom if you feel like getting into the spirit of things =D.

It&apos;s almost Easter. A very interesting time of the year. And whether you are religious (like me :D) or not this is a good time to take a rest, spend some time with the family and eat food until you explode. Though who really needs an excuse for that, I ask you?

I truly love Easter. It&apos;s one of my favorite &quot;holidays&quot;. In fact this time of the year (at least in my humble opinion) is like a second Christmas. Now, I know what you might be thinking &quot;hey, wait, that makes no sense!&quot; But just think about for a second. Take away the presents, the snow, the time off work and the peace-on-earth-and-good-will-towards-men it&apos;s basically the same day.

When you really get down to the heart of it Easter and Christmas are very similar in that they serve a far deeper purpose. I find that attitudes of the people I work with are more upbeat, and the general atmosphere is very positive.

Or at least that&apos;s what I notice. Maybe I&apos;m way off base. Anything is technically possible, but I don&apos;t think I&apos;m all that far off.

But I&apos;m going to make this a short blog and leave you with a brief poem by Richard Le Gallienne
that is relevant to the season:

&quot;Celestial spirit that doth roll
The heart&apos;s sepulchral stone away,
Be this our resurrection day,
The singing Easter of the soul -
O gentle Master of the Wise,&quot;
Teach us to say: &quot;I will arise.&quot;

Happy Easter. God bless.

         <title>Resume O&apos;Rama!!!</title>
         <description>Hi again!

Its getting to be that time again. The time during the year where if you&apos;re dad isn&apos;t Billy Gates you better get yourself a full-time job! Or at least I do :).

I&apos;ve just begun the application for my job of choice. It&apos;s a hassle, let me tell ya! The amount of time spent on these things and the number hoops that still require a degree of jumping is unbelievable. But I like to think of it as being for the greater good.

If your anything like me I imagine you don&apos;t like the application process... or maybe you do, but either way it is a necessary evil. I understand all the background checks, interviews, applications, calls, emails, follow-up letters, resumes, recommendations. Doesn&apos;t mean I have to like it though does it?!

Well that rant aside I am very excited for this new job. Since its applicable to my degree here at SNHU its like getting a decent return on investment. Exciting stuff. I mean who wants to pour money into something and get nothing out? No one that I know that&apos;s for sure!

In all seriousness, however, I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue a job. With the economy being what it is a job period is a piece of good luck.

Either way, whether your pursuing a job or sitting on your parents couch for another summer good luck to you all and talk to you next week.

         <title>Back to School... But Not for Long</title>
         <description>Hey all!
It&apos;s me again. I figured since I was a tad late (really late) posting my last blog I&apos;d go ahead and post another one just for funzies.

 Now if you&apos;re anything like me you&apos;re probably either enjoying your last 24 hours of spring break or (far more likely - and in this case more accurate) doing the homework that should have been done a week ago. Either way I&apos;m sure that a thought has probably crossed your mind recently (especially this side of break) and that thought might go something like: SCHOOLS OUT IN LITTLE MORE THAN A MONTH!!! How&apos;d that happen?!

Well maybe you&apos;re not thinking this, but I sure am! Where has the time gone? One second I&apos;m sitting down for my freshman summer orientations and the next *BAM! WHAM! WHOOSH!!!* nearly 9 months have gone by and there are 5 weeks left to go! Unbelievable!

It really makes you think.

It&apos;s times like these that I really begin to assess the things that I keep telling myself I&apos;d get to, but never really got around to, like: &quot;I&apos;ll join that club&quot; or &quot;I&apos;ll get that job interview&quot; &quot;I&apos;ll get that hair cut&quot;, &quot;I&apos;ll do that paper&quot;, etc. etc. etc. Seriously, it&apos;s amazing how it always feels like there&apos;s so much time left to get things done, but it&apos;s just Father Time pulling a fast-one.This actually brings to mind a quote by Harvey Mackay, the best-selling author and inspirational speaker, who once said:

&quot;“Time is free, but it&apos;s priceless. You can&apos;t
own it, but you can use it. You can&apos;t keep
it, but you can spend it. Once you&apos;ve lost it
you can never get it back.”

Now I don&apos;t mean to get all deep and philosophical on you, but the message in these simple words are just so true. Especially in a fast-paced world like today&apos;s. Time flies-by and sometimes we (myself included in this one) don&apos;t even notice. Though if we do notice we (I) usually start freaking out because of all the stuff we (I) have left to do and limited amount of time left to do it all in.

With these thoughts in mind we continue forward towards our final destination and in the immortal words of the Steve Miller Band remember that &quot;Time keeps on slippin&apos;, slippin&apos;, slippin&apos; into the future.&quot;

&quot;...slippin&apos;...&quot; is right. Slippin&apos; right to graduation! Have great 5 weeks!

         <title>Introduction</title>
         <description>Hey there,

For those of you who are reading this, but don&apos;t know what it is, let me explain. This is a weekly blog to talk about, well, anything. (Though it&apos;ll probably focus on what&apos;s new and happening at SNHU). But since this is my first blog I think a little introduction is in order:

My name is James and I&apos;m a freshmen here at Southern New Hampshire University. I&apos;m involved in a bunch of stuff here on campus and am truly enjoying it! But enough about me. I want to hear from you! I&apos;d like to take this opportunity to invite anyone interested to feel free to send me an email on anything that you would like to have blogged about (my email is james.koble@snhu.edu). Feel free to send anything! It could be an interesting story, things going in the world, at school, politics you find interesting, the weather, or really whatever you want! (Though if you want to keep it SNHU related that would be fantastic).

Well that&apos;s about it for this week. Hope you all have had a fantastic break. See you back at school and I&apos;ll talk to you next week!
