St. Patty's Day/Fall of a Kingdom
So I just got back from teaching at the karate studio and I'm pretty tired; not gonna lie. This morning I wrote a poem while I was in Accounting. I should have been doing other things, but sometimes you feel that burst of inspiration and you have to let it out. Its not a performance piece or anything of that nature, but I like it nonetheless. While reading the poem, I realized that it had qualities of a writing style that I felt like I was abandoning. I guess I was wrong. The poem is below. I hope you enjoy it.
FALL OF A KINGDOM
A kingdom falls in a not so hot blaze of glory.
Monarchs battle and shed cold blood.
Everything is stained with it.
Blood seeps through the cracks of 2 towers.
They begin to rust inside.
The vibrant steel becomes a little tarnished.
They’re a bit darker now.
Sound waves from clashing swords crumble everything.
The towers are a shaken but still stand tall.
They are deeply rooted.
The queen is victorious, but is she really?
Lives were lost, blood was spilled, and children
were ruined.
They didn’t mean for it to affect us but it did.
Now we’re relics in a war torn land, where flowers cease to bloom.
I can’t say that there’s no hope though.
Ashes are sometimes the sustenance of beautiful things.
Moving onto greener things.
Its St. Patty's day. I wore green, but I don't care for the holiday much. Shout out to my Irish peeps though...NEXT!
On the lighter side of things, I've updated the roster for the book.
I've added a few people to the list. This makes a total of 14 people contributing their work to the book. I have most of their pieces ready so I should start assembling the book as soon as I can.
Below is the updated roster for the book. I know that you don't know any of these people, but if they keep at their craft, you'll know them by name eventually. These people are very talented.

Oh, and, Aaron, a friend of mine and a contributor to the book has offered to do artwork for it. I know he has plenty of talent so whatever he comes up with will be sick.
I'm not out to make a profit on this book or anything. I just want a collective of pieces from my friends together. Its a pretty interesting project, in my opinion. I hope that people enjoy the collection and feel like they can relate to it. Well that's enough out of me. I'm tired and I'm going to sleep. Until next time folks...
