Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More
The past week has been quite hectic. Everything seems to be do all at once. I feel like I have to be productive with every second I am awake. There have been so many meetings/banquets to attend and then add on the work.
Since Sunday it has been crazy. I volunteered to help out at the Granite Bowl, which is a flag football tournament put on by SNHU students, and I had to be there at 6 AM which means I had to wake up at 5:30. I also had to work the night before for the Manchester Wolves and didn’t get back until 11 PM. And because of the night before being a Saturday, I didn’t get much sleep because of distractions outside.
So I must say, I did enjoy volunteering but after that, I was so dead. Honestly, I almost passed out while sitting up in the press box at one point. All of my energy has been drained over the past few days.
And after that long Sunday, I had four classes Monday which just added to everything. After the classes, I had our final CAPE meeting. I feel like I did something else after that but it’s been too busy I can’t even remember.
On Tuesday, I basically worked on my group project with my group. And then I had an awards event thing that I had to go to.
That Tuesday night, I basically lived in the computer lab. The objective: a report and presentation that I finally finished this morning. I was on a roll last night writing my paper on the iPhone until I was booted out of the computer lab at 12 AM. That was their closing time.
After not being able to finish all the work that needed to be done, I had to wake up early the next morning to return to the computer lab and finish the power point. Waking up at 7:30 was not fun. Right after finishing the power point, I had to head to class and give the presentation (had another class after that too).
From 2:00-3:00, I went to an Organizational Meeting for all clubs on campus. After that, I worked on the same group project until about 6:30. I also attended the Manchester Monarchs game after all of the madness of the past few days had subsided.
It was really great to just get out for a night and watch some AHL playoff hockey. The game was good and considering I may be working for them next year, I felt I should support the team. They won 4-1 against the Providence Bruins and I’m tempted to go to Providence for Game 3 of the series. It’s during finals week but I don’t have any finals during Game 3 and Game 4 so I may go back to RI and watch a game.
And that’s another thing that is creeping up on me. Finals. I am not ready to face that fact that I need to take them. It’s still about four days away from me. So not looking forward to that.
