Losing a Whole Year

As incoming freshman head into college, the idea that they will be spending the next four years of their life at school. That was my intention until I realized that I was basically a semester ahead of everyone because of my transfer credits from Rhode Island College. And ever since then, I've been planning on graduating in three years...well next year that is. I took six classes this semester and I will be staying on campus to take at least two more classes this summer and possibly an internship. And then I'll be on track to graduate in May of 2009. It has been a lot of work but I know eventually it is going to pay off.

Now on to this weekend...Third Eye Blind played at our school. It was our one major event of the year. I have loved 3EB ever since middle school and their songs just never get old. So as you can tell I was pretty excited.

I am on The Observer staff and I offered to write an article on the event...I ended up not doing it but I did with a fellow Observer member interviewed Brad the drummer of 3EB and it was just amazing. He was just a down to Earth and really cool guy. And after the concert I helped for just a short time cleaning up and I met Stephan Jenkins.

But back to this summer. I am planning on 1) Hopefully working for the Fisher Cats as assistantship to game day production and other fun things, 2) Hopefully doing an internship in New London, and 3) Working for the Last Chapter Pub on campus. And not to mention taking a couple classes. It is going to be a busy summer but I really hope it will work out and be fun. The best part about it all is a lot of my good friends are going to also be staying on campus so it should make it interesting.
