A Country Girl in the City
Title: Country girl in the city
Just to give you a little bit of back ground information on me. . . I am a sophomore accounting and marketing major from a tiny little town in Montana called Wolf Point. Good luck finding it on your map!
Saint Peter’s College, to me, is big compared to my high school graduating class of 60 students, but people tell me it’s actually quite small. That’s one thing I really like about Saint Peter’s College: it’s small enough that I get to know my professors, but big enough that I don’t have to hang out with the same 10 people every day. ïÂ?Å
Now, for a typical day in my life . . . . yesterday was Monday and I have five classes on the Monday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule. Usually I go to the gym on my break at 11:00. . .but I had some accounting homework to finish up. I grabbed something for lunch from Jazzman’sour little food court separate from the caf. . . and headed to my apartment “down the hill.
My Schedule:
8:00: Agency and Business Organization
9:00: International Marketing
10:00: Microeconomics
1:00: Basic Accounting II
2:00: Perspectives in World History
After class at 2:00, I went to work at the C.A.L.L. center where I tutor students in writing. After work, I definitely had to go to the gym to work out. A group of about ten friends and I are having a gym competition where we mark on the calendar the days we go to the gym and at the beginning of May (I think that’s when it is) we are all going to participate in the Revlon run/walk in Manhattan. The competition is on. . . . . and I haven’t missed a day yet! It was my roommate Megan’s idea because she walked it every year in Los Angeles, but this year she is determined to run the 5k.
Last night I went with Megan, Jenny (my other roommate from Bulgaria), and my boyfriend Jamal to Bingo night in MacIntyre Lounge. There were great prizes and Jenny won twice! She won a little stereo clock to hook her ipod up to and two movie tickets. We felt like a bunch of old ladies at church bingo, but who cares?!?!?!?!?!
