Visitors coming!!
On Friday Jamal and I took the Jersey Gardens Shuttle and went to the movies. The shuttle is free and it goes to the huge mall every two weeks. It was lots of fun. . .then last night after going for a nice long jog in Lincoln Park I called my mom and she found out she is going to visit me over Easter Break! I am getting spoiled, because my best friend Maria who goes to college in Montana is going to visit me over spring break. She will be here March 8-12 and I am going to do my best to show her EVERYTHING in four days. I will be sure to post pictures on here for all to see when she comes.
Tonight I have a Pavo Society meeting. Pavo Society is an amazing group of student ambassadors for Saint Peter's College. We give tours, help out at open houses, and do tons of fun stuff to learn about the college and to interact with prospective students. Tonight we are going to find out who was elected to the three executive board positions: Communications, development, and morale "chairpeople."
On February 27th or around there we have an awesome speaker/ author coming to campus. His name is John Perkins and he wrote the book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, which is on the New York Times Bestseller List. I can't wait to listen to him and get a book signed. . . as I have been listening to the audio version of his book on my ipod and it is very good. . .though quite disturbing. I would encourage anyone to read the book.. . it's been so long since I've felt like i had time to actually read a book for fun . . .but this one's worth it.
