So Little Time!

I just got done speaking with a prospective studentfrom Washington this morning at the admission house He would be a presidential scholar, so Megan, Jolie, her friend Chelsea, and I went to talk to him and his Dad. We ate breakfast with them in the Caf. He wanted to major in Philosophy and Theology so we answered his questions about the department and about the honors program as well. Just another fun thing we get to do as Pavos!

I have been finalizing what classes I will be taking this last week for spring '07 semester in Hong Kong. It looks like I will be taking 6 credits of Mandarin, 3 credits of Internet Marketing, 3 credits of Consumer Behavior, and 3 credits of Political Science. I'm a little. . . okay a lot. . . scared about the Mandarin but it would be such a waste to study somewhere and not learn a little of the language at least. Though they mostly speak Cantonese in Hong Kong. .. . there is also a growing number of Mandarin speakers.

This week I started program we have through the Honors Program to work directly with a professor on their research. Both myself and a freshman, Daniel, have been placed with Fr. DeStephano to help with a journal he is the editor of. It is called the Ultimate Reality and Meaning Journal:
Interdisciplinary Studies in the Philosophy of Understanding
So far we are just putting in his corrections for the upcoming edition, but eventually we will become more involved. It is great as we get paid as work studies, but we will have a great learning experience as well.

On Thursday I went to a meeting at 5:00 for the upcoming student senate elections. We learned the rules about campaigning and it looks like there might be some close races, especially for a couple presidential positions. I am running for Student Senator of the class of '08 again. After that, Jamal and I went to eat at the little VIP diner we have just a few blocks away, then he went to his football practice. Speaking of physical exercise, I have been doing very poorly in our gym competition ever since I was sick, and I definitely need to step it up if I am to run the Revlon Run/Walk and come out alive! I am seriously threatening to get back into the gym this next week! Hopefully it will be more than just a threat.

Last night (friday), Jamal and I took the free shuttle to Jersey Gardens Mall again and went to "The Hills Have Eyes." I don't know what anyone else who saw it thought, but some of the gore was a little unecessary in my opinion. Parts of the storyline were okay but by and large. . . . . FLOP!

Well I just got done doing my theology paper, and now I definitely need to work on my International Marketing Project. I am exporting a Californian Wine to Denmark. . . . and my analysis is due the 10th of April (I think??)Anyway. . . . that and about a million other things are due so i definitely need to get to work. That is the bad thing about Spring. I don't want to be inside studying. . . . . . it's SO NICE OUTSIDE!
