Kevin comes to visit!

I picked up my brother Kevin from LaGuardia airport on Saturday afternoon and we made the long journey back to Saint Peter's. After dropping off our luggage, we relaxed and settled in to "college life." Sunday morning we woke up bright and early for the Jets/Chicago Bears game at 1:00 and . . . sadly . . . the Jets lost. It is only sad because we were surrounded by Jets fans . . . thus we were Jets fans! ( I know, not TRUE Jets fans). Chicago pulled off the win to continue their winning streak. We sauntered around Times Square Saturday night, checking out Toys R us, Virgin Mega Store, and many other classic Times Square sights that are a must-see on any trip to the city. We finished up the night with a trip to the 86th floor observatory on top of the Empire State Building before heading home.

Today (Monday) I went to class, and at noon I introduced Kevin to the wonders of Number One Peking, our famous Chinese delivery joint a block from campus. He was complaining of a sideache afterward, but that never stopped me from ordering before :). This afternoon we made the trip to the American Museum of Natural History with my roommate Andie. We also went to the Planetarium theatre where we watched a movie entitled, "cosmic collisions" in the gigantic dome theatre. The first part was great, but the comfy lean-back chairs, I couldn't tell you what happened in most of the second half of the movie. . . . zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Here is a picture of Kev and I with the dinos.

Tonight I am sitting here thinking how much hard work it is to balance being a tourist AND be a college student. I'd better go because I have an 8:00 class in the morning that is SO hard for me to be on time to. Tomorrow is going to be another long day and the details will be for another blog. Happy Thanksgiving!
