Stuck in Denver!
This has been the busiest and craziest week of my life. On Monday night, in the midst of finals, I got a call from a company in NYC who wanted to interview me the next day for a summer internship position. I had heard about the opportunity through our Career services center at SPC. I had been planning on packing that night, taking my last final on Tuesday and then packing some more before flying out on Tuesday night.
But, I did not want to say no to to a chance for such a great opportunity, so on Monday night I packed my entire apartment as well as prepared for the interview and my last final the following day. On Tuesday, I took my final at 9:00, rushed to the Manhattan World Trade Center PATH station, and arrived for my interviews which took place from 12:30-3:00. The interviews went relatively well, and then I came back to NYC to finish packing, and jump in a cab to the airport.
My flight was smooth from JFK to Denver and it arrived at 12:00 am. I was planning on being in the Denver Airport until my 10:40 flight to Williston, ND. However, all the flights for the day were canceled. Also, all the Thursday flights were cancelled as well and no flights will leave until a projected Friday afternoon. Luckily, my brother lives in Littleton, Co so I was able to take a bus to his apartment. Later on Wednesday many major roads shut down around Denver and today, Thursday, we have over 2 feet of snow everywhere. 5,000 people stayed the night at the airport. . . and I thank my lucky stars I was not one of them. I'm sure everyone heard about the delays on the news as well. I currently have a flight out scheduled for Saturday.
Here are some pictures of the Blizzard:

I will be continuing my blog while in China, so I'll be sure to post a blog after a week or two.
Merry Christmas!
