10,000 Buddhas and 10,000 hours of homework !
Okay, not that many. These past few weeks I have been trying to get organized for my trip to Malaysia, Cambodia, and Thailand. The plan is to Fly to Kuala Lumpur with my friend Jamie from Toronto and his friend Julien from Reunion (off the coast of Madagascar to spend a week in Malaysia, followed by some time in Cambodia and then we will be flying back from Bangkok. Julien will be with us for the first week. I'm so glad Jamie is coming because it's not a good idea to be a lone female traveler. Well, that is the plan, at least. Cambodia might be scratched off the list since we only have two weeks. It is has many land mines and Malaria and. . . bad medical care. But the Angkor Wat temple complex would be AMAZING. . . . . so Jamie and I are going to sit down tonight and discuss our exact itinerary.
Anyway, last weekend I went to Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple. There are so many Buddha statues all the way up the side of the mini "mountain" and then at the top is a large temple with many many. . . .Buddha's. There are actually 12,000+ statues. This is the Pagoda, a picture of which is on the Hong Kong $100 bill.

These statues look like some people I know .. . . .

So many Buddha's. . . . .

I don't have time to write much more for now. . .I have so much to do before I leave! I won't be writing for a couple weeks so good bye for now!
Oh, I almost forgot to say that you are welcome to leave comments on my blog! I would love to hear from you. What do you think about . . .studying abroad, China, my experiences or yours?? Let me know!

You are a hit! Your Blog is the rage in the enrollment services center. Once a week we take time to discuss your blog at the "water cooler". That's why its such a disappointment to see that wouldn't be writing for a while. Be safe and keep the letters comming!
