St. Patty's Day. . . Bonfire on the Beach, just another week in HK!
I realized I never put a picture up of our Saint Patrick's day boat ride . . . . .so here it is! We pooled together our resources and rented a boat for four hours to sail around the Harbour on Saint Patty's day. Here I am with my fellow GREEN exchange students. On this day, everyone is Irish.
Here is a picture of the Hong Kong skyline from the boat. I think the light show was going on around this time. Each night at 8 pm there is a light show where the buildings light up . . . we had a great view from the boat.
The following week, Grace (Bottom, middle) called Jamie (top right) and I and Vin (bottom left) out to dinner to meet her friend from New York, Danny (bottom right). We enjoyed an AMAZING all you can eat dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Basically, they gave you a menu and you could order anything you wanted. I tried so many new things and I am now in love with Abalone. . . . but I had better not get used to it because I don't think I will be eating this kind of thing on a regular basis. It was so much fun to meet Danny and chat with my friends. Several hours later, we rolled home.
Last weekend, a group of 20 Exchange students and myself took a two hour ferry ride, then a short hike to a beautiful secluded beach for an overnight camping trip and bonfire. Two of the students needed to shoot a film for one of their classes. The film included a bonfire scene, so we did the real thing! It was so much fun, but the next day I had many hours of sleep to catch up on. My camera batteries went dead, but I will add a picture next week if I can find a good one from one of my fellow tent-campers. :)
I don't think I ever mentioned it, but I will be interning this summer at Deloitte in Minneapolis, MN. My internship starts the beginning of June, but I will go to Minneapolis earlier to find a place to live and such. I bought my plane ticket home for the 11th of May and my last final is April 30. So I still have a month and a half to enjoy!
