Senior Year
No, I have not died yet....although from the frequency of my blogs one might think something was amiss.
So much has happened since my last blog. For one thing, my brother got married in Boise, Idaho at the end of June so I took a fun-filled weekend trip to Boise to take part in the festivities. It was a lot of fun to see the family, and of course to welcome in a new member to the Hoversland family. I was told the next celebration was going to be at my wedding, so it appears as though there will not be another celebration for a looooooong time. haha.

My sister Jen and brother in law Scott came to MN on the Amtrak train from Montana for a weekend of fun. . . . that was in July. We went on a dinner cruise around Lake Minnetonka, located in the cities. It was very relaxing and it was an experience just to see the beautiful homes around the lake. We had 3rd row seats along the first base line at a Twins vs. A's game. Scott is an avid A's fan while Jennifer says "Twins all the way. . . .!" A few weeks previous to the game w/ my family, we got tickets to the suite at the Twins game w/ my co-workers and here we are enjoying the great view!

My internship was great, I worked with and met so many great people, both the staff at Deloitte Minneapolis and the other interns. The program was very organized with many fun social activities and of course we all had lots of opportunities to do applicable work. The Deloitte Interns formed a running "team" this summer to run in a huge 5k race. The race was along a parade route right before a huge parade so there were lots of people watching. . . .and so many runners! It was tiring but so much fun and we made it into a competition, of course. Here is the group before the race. . . . .

I really can't believe how my summer just flewwww by. . . . the last week of the summer I was in Boston staying with my Jennifer (sister, once again) while she attended a conference for work at The Taj hotel next to Boston Commons. We had lots of fun sight-seeing . . . . .. then it was off to SPC.
I was involved in the "Peacock Flock" helping freshman move into their dorms. The students and their parents would basically pull into the parking lot and we'd quickly empty their vehicles. It was a lot of work but hopefully we relieved the stress of moving a little. Today was the first day of classes and I'm taking Auditing, Philosophy, Poli Sci, Marketing Strategy, and another two classes that I'll be adding within a day or two.
I forgot to mention that I'm currently training for the Philadelphia Marathon on November 17th so that takes up lots of my time. I began running with some good friends in Minneapolis this summer who were training for the NYC marathon and it has turned into something I'm really excited about.
Well, that's all for now but as soon as I settle into my schedule a little more I'll be sure to give you an update WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!!
