NYC Marathon and Business Symposium
I had visitors again last week. Yeah!! My fellow marathon training partners from Minneapolis, Steve and Amy, came to NYC for Amy's appearance at the ING NYC marathon. She finished close to her goal and when we went to pick her up at the end. . . . my was it crowded!! There were the 40,000+ runners plus their families wandering around Central Park. . . but we found her and helped her get to the train. Stairs are not easy after over 4 hours of running. . . go AMY!
They were staying at a friend's condo in midtown so we met to do lots of fun stuff in the city. We went to Wicked on Broadway (my 4th time, I love it!), ate at great steak house, and went to a Knicks/Timberwolves game among other things. The Knicks aren't that great, but the Timberwolves are even worse and they lost in a close game at MSG. We are all in support of the T-wolves, but that didn't stop us from using the binoculars (yes, we brought binoculars lol) to check out the movie stars who came to the game. We saw Chris Rock, David Duchovny, some guy from the Soprano's, and even Derek Jeter in the audience! The Timberwolves lost 97-93. Here is a picture of Amy and I at MSG. . . .

Yesterday (Thursday) was the annual Business Symposium. This is a forum held every year on the Jersey City waterfront in an effort to boost the communication between Saint Peter's College and the business community. This year our featured speaker was Bob Woodward of The Washington Post.
It was very interesting and the view of the city from the Hyatt is, as always, amazing. I was one of three "featured" seniors at the symposium.
Next Saturday is open house . . . . . be sure to attend!!
