Andrea- Tribeta Induction
Today I was officially inducted into Beta Beta Beta (or Tribeta for short). It was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I am so glad that I am part of a national society. It feels very prestigious. I invited my fellow blogger Tricia to be there as my family, since none of my relatives live close enough to come. During the ceremony, they told us the history of the Society and had us repeat the pledge. Once that was done, each person was called up one by one and given their certificate and a rose. I still have mine in my room =). After all the inductees were inducted, it was time to pass the torch to the new executive board members, which included me. Each person was called up by the former officer and were asked to accept the duties presented to them. I gladly accepted my position as Treasurer for the 2007-2008 year. I know that it will be a big responsibility but I think I can handle it. Overall, it was a good ceremony. We had a small reception afterwards and I was congratulated by many people, including my friends.
