One Whirlwind Week!
I have had an amazingly crazy week. It all started Friday when I took a whole group of students to Times Square to sightsee. That was quite an experience. We all ended up at Magnolia Bakery eating their world famous cupcakes. It was an experience that won't soon be forgotten! On that trip, I made a new friend, who loves theater too! Here's some of the group:

Saturday, after having student ambassador bonding time, we all went out to dinner at Chili's by the Waterfront. I had the most amazing Honey BBQ steak. I can't wait to go back there to get it again.
Sunday, a friend and I went to the City to do some sightseeing because the weather was simply beautiful. We also caught the tail end of the Broadway on Broadway concert. While strolling down 7th Avenue, we got the wild idea to enter the ticket lottery for Wicked. My friend won! We were both super excited because it is an amazing show.
Monday was a normal school day, the weather was nice and I learned some interesting new things. Monday afternoon, Megan texted me to ask me if I wanted to go on an adventure with her on Tuesday. Justin Timberlake's new CD was being released on Tuesday and the first 300 people to buy it at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square got a wristband to go back and get it autographed that afternoon. It seemed like a cool thing, and Megan really wanted to go, so I agreed. We awoke at 3 AM to take our place in line. When we got to the store, the line was already down the block. We spent the next few hours chatting with the people around us and trying to get some rest. The excitement was too much, so not much rest was had. Notice the excitement!

At 7:45, the store security came by and counted out exactly 300 people. We had made the group! As the CD's were sold, it seemed the line was getting longer. We were in the last group of buyers, and the guard told us they were getting close to capacity and we may not all get wristbands. He then counted off the last people who would get bands, and after he counted me, he stopped. I had gotten band #300. It is a good thing I put Megan in front of me! We were both super excited that we had made the group, but we had class to get back for, so as soon as we got our CD's and wristbands, we headed for the PATH train. I came back and had a quick breakfast before class. As soon as I got out of class, I met Megan and we headed back toward the store to get in line for our autographs. It was pretty intense, and very crowded, but well controlled. When Justin came down the escalator, flash cameras started going nuts. He went over to the table and began signing. Megan and I both got our autographs, and Megan even got a smile. We left the store satisfied that we had made such an adventure. We were both in agreement that the trip was totally worth it. Here's Justin signing:

After the signing, Megan headed back to school, and I met up with a friend for dinner in the Village. After dinner, we headed right home because I was completely exhausted. Wednesday was a normal school day. At lunch time they had a big BBQ in the Quad after the Mass of the Holy Spirit.
Wednesday night was a Tarzan night. (I'm working as an usher now!) No celebrities, but still a fun night. Today was business as usual for class. I put in some hours in the Admission House before heading into the City for work. It was a Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me night. Rachael Ray was there, so of course she got dragged up and interviewed by Jiminy Glick! Still feeling the effects of camping out on Tuesday, I was happy that I worked a short show tonight! In honor of the new friend I made this week, here's this week's quote, "Maybe I'm brainless, maybe I'm wise, but you've got me seeing through different eyes..."
