Sports, Speeches, and Songs, Oh My!
I'm sorry it's been so long since my last update. I have been busy with school and work. It isn't that I don't care! Let me fill you in on what's been going on. Disney still hasn't given me a final answer, which is worrying me. I did get to see Mary Poppins though, and it was simply mind blowing. Check Out www.DisneyOnBroadway.com for information. I highly recommend it!

On Tuesday, I got invited to attend an interview/book signing by former NJ Governor Jim McGreevey. As he was our former governor, I gladly accepted. It was a lot of fun because I was sitting in the front row. After the interview, I got on the book signing line even though I didn't have his book. I just wanted to meet him. Since I was the last person in line, I got to chat with him for a little while and he asked if I read his book. I gave an honest answer, "I am a college student, my school books are the only books I can afford." He was so touched by my honesty that he had me e-mail my address to his partner and he's going to send me a copy. I am super excited because I am interested to read the book, but at $30 a copy, I had other expenses that were more important. He was also nice enough to pose for a picture with me.
Wednesday, I went to the city after class and took some random around the town pictures. That night I ventured to an Off-Broadway show. (Don't tell anyone, I'd be ruined for sure!) It was called Mimi Le Duck, and had Eartha Kitt (the original Catwoman in Batman) in it. It was a cute little show that I really enjoyed.
Thursday, I went to class (which I do a lot, by the way) then to work in Admissions followed promptly by a PATH ride to NYC for Broadway.
I am excited for the weekend. I like weekends. Especially Sundays because me and my room mates bond over football. It is times like those that I love college the most. Different people finding things in common.
Ending with a Broadway quote is customary, so here it is. "...let me wake up in the morning to find I have somewhere exciting to go..."
