To The Brink & Back!
So much has happened since my last post, but because of a hard drive crash on my laptop, I have been unable to write about it. Now, the computer is all fixed but everything is gone. Pictures, music, memories. That just made me want to go out and take new pictures and make new memories. Let me fill you in on what has been happening in my life. I have starting seeing someone, so I devote a lot of time to that. Work is picking up both on campus and in NYC, but I am still finding plenty of time to concentrate on my school work and see friends. I have mastered the art of multi-tasking. Friday night, knowing my computer was fixed, I set out after the show to get a picture with Donny Osmond. He is currently appearing in Beauty and the Beast. Sorry for the blurry-ness, apparently the lady next to me was't a very good photographer.
Saturday I worked the show: Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me matinee and evening. At the matinee Andrea Martin (from Fiddler on the Roof) was the celebrity guest. I was feeling a little under the weather on Saturday for some reason. Not quite sick, but run down. I don't even know who the guest for the evening show was, I sat downstairs and rested during the show.
Sunday, I took the day off because some friends wanted to go see The Color Purple. They were simply blown away. I was too, even after seeing the show several times. Here is a shot of me with 2006 Tony Winning Best Actress LaChanze (Star of The Color Purple).
After the show, we just kind of randomly messed around the city for fun. Here are some shots of me in Toys R Us in Times Square. (I feel vain putting all these pictures of myself in!)
Don't ask! It was there and I felt like posing with it!
It has been a welcome return to random college adventures!
I am trying to nail down a regualr theater gig. Mary Poppins starts previews on the 14th, and I am trying to get stationed there full time. It is fun seeing different shows all the time, but I have seen everything and it would be nice to get to know a select group really well.
In light of my recent quest to change theaters, this week's quote seems especially fitting. "Kiss today goodbye, and point me toward tomorrow. We did what we had to do, won't forget, can't regret..."
