Flying Time and Flying Nannies Too!
I am sorry it has been so long since my last update. Work has really been picking up in class, in Admission, and in NYC. I am getting really nervous this week because Mary Poppins' Opening Night is Thursday and Open House on campus is Saturday. It seems everything happens all at once. The previews have been going well. We have had a few technical problems here and there, but that is expected during previews.
Over the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity to see every Disney show running on Broadway. This past Saturday matinee, they needed someone to fill in at Beauty and the Beast, so the call went out to all the other shows. Each theater sent someone and it was fun to meet someone from the other shows. We are all buddies now. Disney brings people together. We all met up in our off time yesterday and had coffee together. It was a blast. I feel like I really fit in with the Disney family. I wish I had my camera. Next time I will bring it. I do have pictures from the show. (Don't tell Disney!) This is a shot of "Step In Time," which is a really neat scene.

Of course everyone knows Mary Poppins for her signature umbrella. They sell her signature umbrella as a souvenir. It is the hottest selling item in New York according to Saturday's NY Daily News.

Last Weekend, It was freakishly nice out, so I decided to stroll around the City in-between shows. I visited the tourist-y places. Here is a shot of Prometheus overlooking the skating rink at Rockefeller Center.
While I was in the neighborhood, I also stopped Saint Patrick's Cathedral to say a prayer and give a donation. God has been good to me!
Since beginning my new job, I've realized people should try to achieve their dreams, which reminded me of this quote from what else, but a musical! "...If you reach for the stars, all you get are the stars, but we've found a whole new spin. If you reach for the heavens, you get the stars thrown in..."
