Baby, It's Cold Outside!
I am sorry it has been so long since my last update. I have been swamped with work and school. Finals are quickly approaching. Thanksgiving came and went with little notice. I managed to sneak home for dinner then had to come right back for work, but Mom was quite surprised. Work is great, although I got transferred to Lion King, which isn't bad. I just miss the Mary crew. So much has happened in my life since the last post. The club I founded is going great, we are up to 20 members. I am happy the club is taking off but I have such a lack of free time. My poor boyfriend never sees me. Luckily he is understanding. We have lunch together whenever possible, which is usually Mondays and Thursdays. Tuesday is our date night, we are both off. Last Tuesday, we took a trip to NYC to see Mary Poppins. He had been asking to see it, so I broke down and got tickets. Megan and Tricia came along for the adventure. The way I see it is there is no reason to neglect my friends just because I am seeing someone. He feels the same way. Everyone had nothing but rave reviews for the show. Here is a shot of the 2 of us after the show.

Since I got reassigned, I now have Tuesdays off, which is good because I get my day off and still can work all 8 shows. When I'm not at the theater, I really miss it! Everyone at The Lion King is so nice and accepted me onto their staff. The Minskoff Theater, new home of Lion King, is a beautiful place to go to work every day. It is smack in the middle of Times Square. This is what I see every night.

Tonight, Joe, the Director of Admissions wanted to get his wife tickets to a musical for her birthday. She really wanted to see Wicked or the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, so I persuaded Will to join me along with the happy couple. None of us got called for Wicked, so we all went over to the Spelling Bee. We got in there, so we all went to the show. It was great fun, a lovely holiday evening in the City. To top off the perfect night, I took Will to Ben & Jerry's for some ice cream. Strawberry Cheesecake was the flavor of choice, we shared! As usual, I always end with a show quote. Now that I'm an LK-er, it seems fitting to quote my own show. "It means no worries for the rest of our days; it's our problem-free philosophy, Hakuna Matata!"
