Back In Business!
I am so sorry that I haven't written in such a long time. Life was super busy from the end of the fall term straight through into the spring term. Life has taken some curves, some good and some bad. Let me start with the bad news. Disney and I have gone our separate ways. I am actually happier now. I did love it there, but being at the theater all the time made it impossible to see my friends and family. It also put major strain on my school work and my relationship. Luckily, I have an understanding other half. I actually stayed with him over winter break because he lives close to campus, and it saved me tons of commute time. It was nice to get to spend more time with him too. It brought us closer together. Here is a shot of me bonding with his dog, Daisy.
I miss her now that I am back living on campus. I miss him too, but he visits frequently and he goes to school here so I see him often. Being back on campus is fun. I missed my roommates so much. Matt brought back a major surprise for all of us. A Nintendo Wii! That has been getting some major play. It is nice to have something to play to relax after homework. It has brought us together so much. All of us roommates get along so well. We're like brothers. Here is an example of Wii bonding. Matt is bowling, Nick and Will are watching, and Kevin is observing while doing homework.
There never seems to be a lack of laughter in our apartment. On any given night, after studying and homework, random events take place. Everything from impromptu card games to wrestling matches. There's always a new adventure.
Christmas Day was the only day I saw my family for the holidays because of work, so I made the most of it. I got lots of gift cards which came in handy when I had free time during the show to eat. I went to Atlantic City for New Year's with my boyfriend and his family, where I won $40 which was promptly deposited in the bank the next morning. At midnight, everyone gathered around for the change of years. It was so much fun. I have never gone out for New Year's before so this was special.
This new semester, I have decided to take more time to focus on my schoolwork. I began to slack off a little last semester because of work but I realized without an education, a job only goes so far. I loved the theater, but my studies are first and the theater will be there when I am done studying. Before anyone asks, no I haven't seen Dreamgirls because I am waiting until it comes out on video. If I saw it in the theater, I would be shouting "You Sing It Girl" and things of that nature. Your welcome fellow audience members!
I hate to be predictable, but I always wrap up with a lyric quote: "...Life is really up to you, you must choose what to pursue. Set your mind on what to find and there's nothing you can't do..." Anybody know where that's from?
