Snow Days and The Internship Craze!

Well, life has certainly been picking up lately. This week along, Tuesday, I went to "The Martha Stewart Show," for her "Man Show" where I got to see Eva Longoria and lots of New York's Finest and Bravest (The Police and Fire Department) as well as get lots of free stuff. One of my friends from Disney invited me, and we had a blast. He was brave enough to ask her for a picture, and was the only one who got one. I must say, Martha looks great.

Wednesday, the snow had been falling all night long, and we were granted a snow day. Through the grace of God, it also happened to be matinee day! I took full advantage of my free day and went to see "Spring Awakening." It was simply amazing. I definitely recommend it to anyone in my age group as it is about teens discovering themselves. I laughed and cried, I had a thoroughly great time.

After the show was over, I braved the sub-zero temperatures of Manhattan to get back to school. Thursday, school was back in session, so I went to class, then to work in Admissions before going to the men's basketball game that night. It was a close game, but Saint Peter's pulled through with a 7-point victory. It was sensational. What a way to end the week.

Monday is President's Day, so we are off from school, but the College did us a huge favor and gave us a 4-day weekend with Friday off too. It is really nice to be able to sleep in and catch up on some socialization and schoolwork. Not to mention all my internship applications. I am determined to find an internship in theater for this summer. I have narrowed it down to 3 that I would be perfect for. Now if I could just figure out how to make them choose me! I'm nervous about them, but if I don't get one, I'm sure Mom wouldn't mind having me around the house.

This week's quote comes from my re-discovery of church. God really does love me. "...In my life, there is someone who touches my life waiting near, waiting here..."
