Success and Summertime!
I know its been a while since I wrote. Sorry about that, life has gotten incredibly busy lately. Work, studying, finals, packing, cleaning, all the things that have been going on. I am happy to report that I have secured a place to live in New York this summer. While on the topic of good news, I also got called in for an interview to intern at Extra. I was so excited, and i thought my interview went really well. They said they would call me this week, so everyone keep your fingers crossed. Finals wrap up on Tuesday for me and then it starts. I'll be a senior in college next year. I can't believe it. I'll be 21 in 11 days, and to celebrate I am going to Disney World! I can't wait, this is going to be an amazing summer. Living in New York City, working in the theater at night, possibly interning for Extra during the day, going out with my theater buds after the show. It is going to be so much fun. I guess this is what growing up is like. It has been a good school year. I had so many good times with my roommates, I worked in the field I love, I met so many amazing people, and I did a lot of growing up. This weekend, I was packing up my room for the big move, and came across this picture of me my first semester of college. I thought I changed so much over the years, but now I'm not so sure. You be the judge.
Freshman Year

Junior Year

Life is good right now, i just hope it stays this way. My mother came up yesterday to collect my non-essential belongings. Because I wasn't going to be seeing her for Mother's Day, we went to breakfast before she dropped me off at the PATH station for work and headed home. I haven't seen the rest of my family in a while, except a brief visit 2 weeks ago at a funeral, where I did the usual "its nice to see you, but i wish it was for a better reason," thing. No matter the reason, i enjoy seeing my family. This morning, I called all the mothers in my family to wish them a happy day. At work, there were lots of families taking Mom out to the theater to celebrate and the weather was gorgeous too. When I got back to school, Kevin and Nick were making dinner. Gotta love roommates that cook. After dinner, studying was all that went on. It has never been so quiet in this apartment. Alright, well I need to get back to studying, but I wanted to update everyone what's been going on in my life. I hope everyone has a good summer. This final quote of the school year pretty much sums up my current happiness with life. "...If you believe, then you'll be there, believe in yourself right from the start, believe in the magic thats inside your heart..."
