Great Weekend

Hey! I'm Jolie Hoppe, a freshman here at St. Peter's from ANGELUS OAKS, California, a little mountain community in the San Bernardino mountains of Southern California. I'm quite proud of my town, and my state. I love it there, but being able to see Manhattan out my window as I sit at my dorm desk.....also pretty AMAZING.....

This has been areally great weekend. Friday, I had work from 9-11, Biology from 11-12:15, grabbed some lunch, then Latin from 12:30 - 1:45, after which I went to the gym, showered, and got ready, because that night we went to Hoboken for STEAK!! My friends, Geoff, Colin, Frankie, and Kyle all took went to Arthurs in Hoboken, this AMAZING little steakhouse, because they know how much I love steak and miss it. So that was really fun. =) Saturday I got up early to go to work in Admissions and give tours to prosepective football players. After work, I met my roommates for lunch, went back to my dorm to take a nap, woke up for the SUPER intense boys basketball game. It was SUCH a close game, so it was really fun to watch. After the game, my friend Chelsea (who is practically another roommate, she's with us so much) and I got ready and went into the City for dinner and to walk around. It was a beautiful night, so we had a great time, just walking around and eating. We got back and went to visit our upperclassmen friends down the hill to drop off some candy we bought for them in Times Square, then back up to my room to hang out with some more of our friends and watch "Toy Story 2".

Sunday, I woke up, and walked to church. After chruch I stopped by Rite Aid and the produce stand, then came back to school, went to lunch, and went to go work out. I came back and did some stuff, talked to some friends from home, then Chelsea and I went down to the caf to meet my roommate, Jackie, and some other friends for dinner. After dinner was a shower, then homework until late into the night.

All in all, it's been a pretty amazing weekend...a great balance of relaxation and getting things done...
