GREAT week
So this has been an amazing week….I’ve had so much fun AND the weather has been amazing…
Monday, as I mentioned in the last entry, was a great day….
Tuesday, I got up and went to work from 9-11, then had Bio from 11-12:15, grabbed some lunch and went to Latin. After Latin, I ran down to Lincoln Park to watch Jackie and the rest of our girls softball team play Columbia….They lost one and tied one. After the game, Geoff drove me and Colin and Chelsea back to school where I showered, and got ready then met Chels for dinner. After dinner, I went to my church to babysit for the final ESL (English as a Second Language) event. I came home and our friends Travis and Yaw and we all watched Law & Order SVU.
Wednesday, I had History at 9, Theology at 10, and Calculus at 11. After Calculus I went to work, then to work out, shower and go to another softball game. Chelsea and I walked back from the game, then I went to the LEAD Networking Mixer, then to dinner. After dinner we went back to the dorms to just hang out and do homework and Yaw came over to watch Lost and Evidence.
Thursday, History was canceled so I woke up and ran down to the waterfront and then took the bus back. I even had the same busdriver as Monday! Such a nice guy… So I showered and went to breakfast, then onto my calculus test then to the mailroom for an Easter package from my mom!! =) After that, I went to work for a bit, then onto the “Common Ground� Theology conference where scholars from all over came to discuss the “Common Ground� of Jerusalem and it’s importance in all the three main monotheistic religions. So that was good. After that I got my paycheck and went to the bank and the post office to mail some letters to home. It was so warm, I even wore shorts!! I came back , met Chelsea and Brett for dinner, then back to my room before the D-Block Intramural Basketball game!! It was the biggest game of the season, against their biggest rivals, the Love Bunnies…. As close and intense of a game as it was, I’m happy to report that D-Block pulled through with a 3 pt victory =)
Friday I got up and went to work where we were having a goodbye party for our receptionist Lori. At 11, I had Biology, then at 12:30 I had Latin. After Latin I showered, then grabbed some lunch, and was on my way to the airport! One of my best friends lives in Oregon, and had a layover from her Spring Break in the Caymans at JFK. So I took the PATH to the World Trade Center, then the Subway to JFK to see her!! It was so fun! Even though we didn’t get to see each other for long, it was still so neat to get to see her. So after they left, I took the Subway back to Manhattan and since it was such a beautiful night, decided to walk around the City for a bit, so that was really nice. I even stopped at Century 21 to shop for awhile (the bargain department store where Carrie goes when she gets a break, for any of you Sex & the City fans…)., then took the PATH back to Journal Square. On the way back to school, I ran into my roommate Jackie, and Chelsea and our friends Brett and Crazy Nik who were all going to get sushi at the waterfront. So I came home to CLEAN our room…. I was very glad to complete that much-needed chore, as was Jackie when she came home and saw how clean our room was =)
Saturday I woke up at 11, then went with Chelsea to the Lee House to take a prospective student to breakfast. After we ate, Jackie came home from practice and she and I and Chelsea all took the PATH to Hoboken to get the train to her house. It’s kind of funny, I’ve lived with Jackie since August and this is the first time I’ve made it home with her… It was SO fun though, especially since her mom made an AMAZING dinner for us, and her best friend came over to cut our hair! =)
Sunday I got up and went to church, then a friend surprised me and we went into the City to walk around…. It was seriously the perfect day for it, SO nice out… We took advantage of the warm weather by walking ALL over…from the courthouse where they film the Law & Order series, down by the Brooklyn Bridge through the Lower East Side and part of Chinatown , down to South Street Seaport for lunch, then we walked back by the Brooklyn Bridge and City Hall to take the Subway up to Grand Central Station, where we walked up to Rockefeller Center and the NBC Experience Store, then through St. Patrick’s Cathedral, down to the United Nations, then back by Grand Central and up 5th Ave to Central Park where tons of people were out taking advantage of the amazing weather…. We took the Subway back to the PATH to Jersey then went to dinner on the waterfront… After that I came home and worked on homework… All in all it was not only an amazing day…it was a GREAT week =)
Today I got up, went to breakfast at the caf, then History, Theology, Calculus, stop in at the Lee House and lunch from Sub Connection…SO good! I finished up my Bio Lab questions, then headed off to lab where we were dissecting fetal pigs… After that I worked out, then came back to shower and go to the meeting for Open House on Saturday… Hopefully I will see you all there!! Finally, we went to dinner, then back to the dorms before the D-Block Intramural Basketball game where D-Block won again =). Now I’m sitting in my room with Jackie, Chelsea, and Crazy Nik, watching the UCLA game on TV, while Jackie’s listening to the Yankee game on the radio…. It’s been another good day…=)
