Whew…Sorry I haven’t written in awhile but things in my life have been crazy with this last week of school coming up! Despite that, my friends and I have managed to have a pretty fun-filled week.
Monday night was the final D-Block Intermural Championship Basketball Game!!! It was so exciting, especially because D-Block won, against their long-standing rivals, the “Love Bunnies! Also on Monday night, we found out our RA assignments for next year…. So for all your girls who end up living in Millennium Hall on the 4th floor…yours truly will be your RA!! =)
Tuesday I had the usual: Work in Admissions, Biology, and Latin. After Latin, my friend Cassie and I got coffee in Jazzman’s and just hung out until it was time to go back to my room and take a stab at some homework before dinner with Jackie and Chelsea. After a quick dinner came quite the highlight of our evening….Going to my first Yankee’s game!! Someone Jackie’s dad works with got tickets and gave them to us!
So Jackie and I took the PATH to the Subway to Yankee Stadium!!

It was such a fun game and the Yankees won over Tampa Bay, 9-1!!

My first visit to Yankee Stadium!! =)
Wednesday I had History then Theology then Calculus, then work, and to the gym to work out and play basketball with some friends, then dinner. After dinner, Chelsea, Brett, and I (and Jackie) all piled in Jackie’s car and took a drive to Westfield, NJ, to visit my favorite grocery store, Trader Joe’s!! After stocking up on everything we could possibly want, we drove back to school (after a quick stop at Rite Aid for some last minute items), and then went “down the hill to watch TV with some of our friends who live in the Senior apartments! All in all it was a very fun day.
Thursday I got up early to head to Pope Lecture Hall for the “Diabetes: Enigma and Epidemic Conference and listen to Dr. Lauren Lipeski speak about Diabetes in Childhood and Dr. Marvin Schwalb speak about the Genetics of Diabetes. Both were super interesting! (I couldn’t listen to the middle speaker because I had to go to Calculus to take a quiz…) After the lectures, I had to go to work, then to the gym, to dinner (always the highlight of my day) and back to my room to work on homework, hang out, do massive amounts of laundry and go to bed! (Also usually another high point of my day…=))
Friday I had work, Biology, and Latin, after which I went with Chelsea to the florist, then ran down to the waterfront, walked around the waterfront and called my mom and best friend from home, then ran back, ate dinner in the caf, showered, and went to see “Into The Woods, the spring musical. It was SO good!! We really enjoyed it! After the play we tried to go to bed early because early the next morning we had….
The Magis Conference… Anyone in a club or organization, from Indo-Pak to the Student Senate to Emerging Leaders or potential RAs or Orientation Team leaders had to be there. It was an all-day conference with speakers and classes, both on how to lead in general, what to do as a leader, and specifically what as an RA, for example. After the conference, Chelsea and I went to work out, then Jackie got back from her game, and we decided to have a quick Target run for movies and snacks. We watched one movie, then went to bed…
Sunday I got up and went to church, then met Chelsea for lunch and walked to the field to watch Jackie and the rest of the softball girls play Manhattan College. They lost, but it was still a great game and SUCH a nice day outside!! After the game, we walked back to school and worked on homework, and ordered Japanese food from a restaurant on the waterfront, and watched the other movie we bought at Target. It was a very relaxing day.
Today I got up, went to breakfast, then to History, Theology, and Calculus, hung out in the quad for a bit, then back to my room to finish up some homework, and onto my Biology Lab where we were doing presentations. After my FINAL Biology Lab of the year, I went to the gym, then back to shower, and dinner. After dinner I took a short nap, then we all went down to Jazzmans Café to work on homework and watch the Yankees/Red Sox game… Now I’m back in my room, getting ready to go to bed….All in all, it’s been a good week.
