Busy Busy Busy
As usual, things in my life have been incredibly busy, but still really fun. Last weekend, my mom flew out from California to visit me. I was really excited to see her, especially since she didn't get to fly out to help me move in in August because I was so busy with RA training. She decided to just wait until I had more free time….like this weekend! =)
Friday after my classes, my mom and I went into the City together. We got off the PATH at World Trade, walked around to South Street Seaport and shopped at a street fair there, then my friends Jenny and Megan came to meet us, along with Chance, one of Megan's friends from California who flew out to surprise her.
We walked uptown to Little Italy and the Festival of San Generro. It was so fun! We ate yummy Italian food, and even tried fried Oreos!

After that we walked the Brooklyn Bridge to watch the sunset. All in all it was a great night!
Saturday and Sunday I spent the day hanging out with my mom and shopping which was super fun!
Sunday afternoon she left, which was sad, and I worked on homework and stuff… The rest of the week has been good so far… Last night I went out for Jackie's birthday (my roommate last year) to a Japanese restaurant on the waterfront with her parents and tonight we're going to go to a comedy club in the City to celebrate a few friends' birthdays.
As far as school, classes are going well, though they are keeping me quite busy. I didn't realize how different sophomore year would be from freshman year -- the experience is completely different. Still good, but different. I'm especially liking my classes this year, and so thankful for having to take required Jesuit Core classes because now I'm thinking that I'm going to sick with being a Biology major, but am planning to add a Theology minor as well. All that's keeping my pretty busy, but I can honestly say I love all my classes this year! Of course, we'll see how I feel about that after my first Chemistry test on Wednesday =/.
