Midterms and Megan

Well, sorry it's been so long since my last post, but I've been super-busy all week with midterms!

Thankfully, however, we had a three day weekend since Monday was Columbus Day. It was especially nice because I was able to get a lot of stuff done before all my midterms. Sunday was an especially nice day. I went to church, then Chelsea and I went into the Village to get Chipotle food from Chipotle, our favorite place to eat. Seriously, the food there is AMAZING. After we ate, Chelsea went back to school and I hung out with the crowds in Washington Square Park for a while, then went to Starbucks to study. All in all it was a really nice day.

Monday I woke up and ran down to the waterfront, then had to stay at school to study more and because I was the RA On-Call. Tuesday was a super stressful day because I had two midterms, Christian Medical Ethics and my Anatomy & Physiology Lab. Wednesday I had Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry (and a quiz =/), African Lit, then my Chemistry Lab, then a short nap and more studying for my Anatomy & Physiology lecture exam on Thursday. However, after all my napping and studying, I went down to my friend Megan's apartment where I helped her and our friend Nico make lasagna! It was so much fun and soooo good! Here's a picture of Megan and I, pre-lasagna festivities.

Thursday I had a very full day. First I had all my classes: Anatomy & Physiology (exam =/), Chemistry, and African Lit, then after that I went to a special presentation from the Bio department by Dr. Jerry Buccafusco, an SPC Alum, Class of 1971, who is currently director of the Alzheimer's Research Center, in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Medical College of Georgia. After Dr. Buccafusco's lecture, I did my resource hours in the RA office, then went to work in Admission. After work I went to the gym, then to the library, then to dinner in the caf with all my friends. After dinner I went back to my room to shower and get ready to go to the intermural indoor hockey game of the baseball team versus the soccer team with Jackie, my roommate from last year. After the game we got some Ben & Jerry's, then went back to Jackie's to watch Grey's Anatomy. After Grey's, I went up to my friend Megan's to watch ER with her and all her roomies. I hang out with Megan a lot, as you can tell from my blog (as well as Andrea's). That's because Megan is like a big sister to me. She was the first person I met at SPC, considering she gave my mom and I a tour when we came in March of my senior year, then it was Megan I stayed with when I came for Open House. I'm so thankful that I got to come to SPC and meet people like her. I never thought that in coming to college, in addition to getting an education and 4 years of amazing experiences, I would be making best friends along the way.

This is a picture of Megan and I the first time we met….March 2005 when I was here for a visit =)
