All the news that's fit to air
Today we had our final Newswave broadcast (*snif*) until next semester (yay!). Newswave is the student-run television news broadcast show here at Trinity. I'm the Politics Anchor, and I also do some story editing. Working on Newswave is a great opportunity to develop skills such as writing, filming, editing, producing, presenting on camera, and doing techy stuff - i.e. things people will actually pay you to do in the real world. It's also just a fun way to hang out with other Communication students. Want to see some behind-the-scenes pictures? Okay!
Matt and Brittany, our head anchors, looking thoughtful and dedicated.
Pat and Ray with the cameras. I'm sure they're in the middle of doing something brilliant.
Danielle, Kaatie, and Shane, hard at work doing pre-show stuff in the control room. Shane's a little cut out of this picture (sorry, it was hectic!) but it's appropriate punishment since he's graduating this semester and leaving us forever! :(
Me and my goofy smile at the Politics Desk, pre-show. This photo was kindly taken by our Entertainment Anchor, Mary. Thanks, Mary! The Politics Desk also doubles as the Entertainment Desk, which seems appropriate somehow....
So no more Newswave until January. Hopefully no important news will happen in the meantime.
