“that’s what she said" is the new “your mom"

sadly, i must admit the title quote of this blog did not come from my brilliant mind. no, i am obligated to presume that perchance it may be plausible that perhaps there might possibly be conceivably two potentially equally brilliant minds in the universe…maybe.

however, i’m sure i would have thought of it had she not thought of it. …in fact, i was just about to say “’that’s what she said’ is the new ‘your mom’ when my housemate took the words right out of my mouth…telepathy – i don't know – clairvoyance, extrasensory perception, premonition, a sixth sense, thought transference – aha! that’s it!

thought transfer. in factual fact, i actually transferred my thoughts to her brain so that she could say “’that’s what she said’ is the new ‘your mom.’ there you have it. the world is back to normal with one brilliant mind in the universe (mine) transferring ideas to other so-called smart people. Einstein, Bill Gates, Oprah, Shakespeare and last but not least...

this blog's Reflections of greatness: people i've influenced...the brilliant and witty Michael (Mic) Tienken. who is Michael Tienken you ask? well his website says…

“Hello! You've most likely stumbled upon this page by performing a web search to find the smartest person in the world,

which is exactly what i did. thanks mic.

the smartest person on earth or some similar phrase or keyword. I have to confess, I'm not the world's smartest person, not even close; but I like to say that I'm smart enough to be #1 on Google when you search for "the smartest person in the world!" That should count for something!

and to me Mic, it does count, it counts for a lot.

anyway, all that brilliance? yeah that’s all me. its sort of like a mass diffusion of brilliance.

you’re welcome.

(wow, i just went on for about four paragraphs on how smart i am…i hope you find that weird to say the least…)

back to the quote. “that’s what she said" is the new “your mom"

things to note about the quote:
1. the statement above rhymes. "things to note / about the quote"
2. both note 1 and the quote are true statements.
3. neither “that’s what she said" nor “your mom" is funny.
4. but we say them anyway…
5. and then we laugh.
6. and finally, i came up with the quote and said it through thought transfer.

other important notes unrelated to the quote:
1. blinking magazine still blinking – wow, truly amazing right?!

2. awesome slippers – in life everyone needs a good pair of slippers (and that is not a metaphor, i’m serious, slippers, a quality pair of slippers.)

for now…
that is all.

with great talent comes great responsibility.

to put it bluntly, for the last few weeks I have been a movie star. yep, a big time actress, a beautiful babe of the silver screen...

i shouldn't have said that, i hate the word babe. sorry if your name is babe, or if you named you cute little pig babe. i just personally dont like the word. not cause i'm some sort of feminist and "babe" is insulting, no i just think babe is a lame word. that's it.

let me say it again, bluntly, for the last few weeks I have been a movie star. yep a big time actress, a beautiful beauty of the silver screen (yeah its a bit repetitive but at least i'm no babe)

anywho, currently I am working on two films.

film number one: Raise the Stakes is produced by a Trinity student. this is the vampire movie I’ve mentioned before. the junior who is the writer, director, and producer of this film is brilliant – now i can’t say this about a lot of people – but this guy has almost as much raw, unbridled talent as i do.

yeah… wow…that’s a lot…can you handle it…probably not, just be glad you aren’t that talented. someone once said, “with great talent comes great responsibility. but don’t worry, i am very responsible.

here’s the link to the trailer. be sure to watch it very closely, so you don’t miss any shots of me.

stay tuned cause right after the trailer you'll see a little behind the scenes footage.

and film number two: the untitled title is Temple Grandin. It is an HBO special, premiering on HBO (big surprise there) in January or February.

It’s a biopic (biographical picture (film about a person's life (a person that actually exists (in real life (but obvioulsy the film is a film (its not real (but it is based on a real person's life (Temple Grandin's life (okay i'm done))))))))))

It's a biopic that tells the story of an autistic woman, Temple Grandin played by Clair Danes. For more info lookup Temple Grandin on wiki or youtube. She has a wonderful life story.

here is the imdb link to this movie.

YOU: but Madz, what have you been doing on this film? isn’t it a major film, with a major budget, major movie stars, and major majorness?
ME: yes it is, I’m glad you asked.
YOU: looks at ME inquisitively, yet with great admiration for ME’s awesomeness
ME: stop looking at me that way.
YOU: but i am so inquisitive and in great admiration of your awesomeness.
ME: okay fine, you can look at me that way.
YOU: continues looking thank you.

It turns out my beautiful, glamorous, wise, and attractive mother (the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree) is a character in this film. The Riding Mistress – to be exact.

And, being said Riding Mistress, the extras casting director asked here if she knew of any girls (check) who were over 18 (check), yet appeared younger (check), had their own riding boots (check), and knew how to ride English (check plus).

Mother called me, I drove to Austin that evening for a costume fitting, and well, as they say, the rest is history.

I stole a few Trinity buds away from the life of a student to be movie stars for a day.

it was cold that morning and the heaters were little balls of fire sustained by gas tanks. unfortunately i am afraid of fire, so here i am trying to balance my animal-like instinct to stay warm with my irrational fear of fire.

here i am at my costume fitting

The last few days have been a whirlwind of driving to and from Austin to filming Temple Grandin, back to classes, back to filming, back to classes, back to filming la la de da. Pure unadulterated mayhem, and I love it!

And to top it all off here's a picture of me with a gibbon named Willis.

that is all.
