Caught your attention, didn't I? We are hard at work in rehearsals for Les Liaisons Dangereuses and at the end of a rehearsal our stage manager questioned us about T-shirt designs. A certain cast member (I'm not naming names) suggested Mike (our Valmont) walking into a giant vagina, at which point we lost it. Graphic, I know, but it pretty much sums up the whole play.

So first of all, I apologize for not being on the ball and keeping up with this blog. I've been a very bad/busy boy, so please forgive me.

As I said, we are hard at work to get Liaisons ready for opening night in... oh.... A WEEK. I'm a little frightened, but so far the show is going well. Mainly we need to cut down on time... because it is running at 2hr 45min. A bit much. I have faith though! We have a fantastic director and the cast is a blast, so all is well. After this is all over I'm free!.... until You Can't Take It With You! Well, I brought it on myself, didn't I?

We had our Choir Tour a few weeks ago, where we took a four day trip across New Mexico singing at schools, churches, and the like. The singing went fine. The after-tour concert was PHENOMENAL. The trip was.... ehhhh. There's only so much you can take of people in a small space such as, oh, say, a bus for 18 hours at a time. But the trip was pretty successful overall.

Trinitones have been busy boys lately! We are learning a ton of new songs, including That Thing You Do, And So It Goes, Starlight, and a few more surprises for this year. We got to perform Hard To Say Goodbye at Mocha Life very nicely and then we had a few performances at Choir Tour. We have Spotlight auditions coming up (school talent competition), so wish us luck.

Soooo this weekend is pretty big for me. I have my audition at MWTA (Midwest Theatre Auditions), which is a large cattle call audition for summerstock theatre. About 60 theatres show up and through a minute and a half song and monologue audition, your summer plans are determined. I've been prepping, getting my headshots and resumes ready, practicing my pieces, getting some backups. I'M SO NERVOUS THOUGH. I went last year and did not so good because I got sick the morning of, which I do NOT want to happen again. Pray for me, cross your fingers, do whatever it takes. DON'T LET ME GET SICK. Oh, and wish me a broken leg.
