Hey guys!
This week has been so beautiful! I have spent a few days at the beach, tanning, which is really one of the best parts of living here. Literally, I can leave my dorm room and be at the beach in five minutes flat, walking.

this is our view from UNE! aammaazzing!

the sun was so nice!
But, stress from finals is starting to get to everyone. So, basically everyone is pretty grumpy and busy with studying. So, this week was pretty lame. Although, it was my last week of work and my boss brought in a sheet cake one night and boxes upon boxes of pizza and cinnamon sticks another. And we played games while we worked.
Then the weekend came…wow what an eventful weekend! So, Friday I went up with some equestrian team members to a barn up in Augusta. It was a super fun trip, other than one of the girls did a somersault off a horse and broke her fall with her head. Luckily, she was okay. After that we did not stay long. On the way back we ate some yummy Panera sandwiches and drank some yummy starbucks coffee. And then back to school… to do homework! Then on Friday night, in an emergency Aubrey’s dad had to fly out of the Portland airport. So, Saturday Aubrey and I had to pick up his car from the airport.
No problem right? Wrong! We had no car. So, we took the Nor’easter Express to downtown Biddeford. Then switched to the intercity bus to Portland, but we had to wait an hour on the street corner outside of the Happy Dragon, which was not pleasant. Then after an hour bus ride we got to the Maine Mall. There we called a random taxi. We waited fifteen minutes for the taxi and then took a ten minute taxi ride to the airport.
But, the fun did not stop there. So, the parking lot that was deemed ‘long term parking’ was like ten parking lots into one. We had no clue where the car was and the taxi driver did not even know if this was the right parking lot. So we started going here and there and up and down. Just looking everywhere! No car. We finally called her dad. He said it was three lanes away from the exit. But, we didn’t know where the exit was. Finally, after much searching we found the car. We were skipping and hollering and whooping and hooraying.
Then Aubrey pulled out the hide-a-key and it was not there. The spare keys were there, there being inside the car. But the hide-a-key was not! So, we were locked out. We went to talk to the security guards, who were nonexistent. When we found one she said that only if we had AAA could we get help. So, Aubrey’s dad ended up calling their pastor who was headed to Portland anyways and he brought us the extra key from Aubrey’s house.
So, then we waited another hour inside the airport. And can I tell you how awesome the toilet seats are? They have moveable seat covers! = ) That was really cool! We had much laughs and did some yoga. And waited and waited some more. And played in the revolving doors. Then finally the keys came. We skipped and ran and opened the doors! We stepped in and started the car and we were off!
We first stopped for a chocolate break, after a five hour exhausting adventure, you need chocolate! Then we headed back to school and off to see Sysko. I am getting to the point I am having to memorize five million things at once, so all I can say about the ride, was that it was frustrating!
Then we went to Hannaford’s and had a junk food explosion. Frozen fried food and chocolate and twizzlers and a new chick flick. It was the only way to end such a up-and down weekend.
Unfortunately, we missed Hanson! Yes, Hanson came to UNE. Every year there is this huge outside concert brought to by the environmental club and the student government and Hanson played as the big group year. Everyone could not stop talking about it and had so much fun!

Now, today we woke up and I helped Aubrey with nursery duty at church. Which was fine since we had three very easy kids and then we went to ride Sysko and I really had my best ride ever! I jumped over poles, made it almost two times around the ring trotting and am starting to really get everything [the five million things you have to memorize] under control.
and now... the studying for finals begins...
I hope the end of the year is suiting you well, have a nice week.

Hey guys! Can I only tell you how GORGEOUS it is here! Oh my word! It is amazing! 70 degrees, sunny and with a light breeze! Plus we only have 6 more school days left and then finals and then 4 MONTHS of vacation! Did I mention the 4 MONTHS of vacation?
Okay, so the weekend wrap up. On Friday my boss took me out to lunch, but instead of actually going to a restaurant, she bought us take-out Thai food and then we ate it on the beach! We ate it at this beautiful beach in Kennebunk Port and it was so amazing! Like, I was so sick of snow and boom, now it is like the best summer weather! And of course we finished off out great lunch break with ice cream, which is the only way to end such an amazing beach day.
Then, I went riding with Aubrey and since it is warm we rode outside and got some sunshine and it was just fabulous! But, then you know school is ganging up on me. Since, all my final projects, papers and tests are due soon. So, I got super stressed out and on Saturday I kind of locked myself inside studying and watching movies [sometimes you need a break from studying and movies are a great way to relax….]
But, of course my friends saved me from my misery. Jessie and I went to the beach and then Aubrey and I had a girl’s night in. We were planning on watching a movie, but we ended up just junking out and talking and both half-falling asleep.
Sunday came along and I cheered Aubrey on at a horse show, where she placed FOURTH! Woot woot! Very impressive! And then we had the option of going into work for double pay and we could do up to four hours [this is at my phone-a-thon job]. So, after the horse show we got lunch and ice cream in Saco, bathed in the sun and headed back to work. But, we only made it like an hour. Then we could not stand being inside on such a beautiful day. So, what did we do? Go riding, of course!
This was my best ride ever too!! I was never on the leash and I did a course to practice control and I started working on my diagonal [like posting up and down at the right time]. We rode outside and it was just the prettiest day!
Afterwards, we came back and had a mini chick flick-a-thon. Which are always the best! Now, I am off to statistics [boo] and the gym [which is so much nicer, because they just put more equipment in and redid the cardio room]. Later, I might go running with Jessie and then work, but that will be awesome, because Mandy, the boss is bringing us pizza and we are playing games.
And, so I’ll post again later in the week, when things start getting interesting again.
Talk to you guys later!

Hey guys, so I know I am late posting again, but this week was boring! Really, nothing happened. I went to class and went to work and studied and wrote papers and then the weekend came. =)
This weekend on Friday I went to Aubrey’s mom’s house in New Hampshire with the rest of the Equestrian Team, I was watching their show. We got there at like 9:30pm and then in the morning we left at like 6:30am! After a few hours of driving we got to Dartmouth College, where the show was. It was this huge barn, with like a bazillion horses, but no bleachers. So, we sat in lawn chairs we brought. Normally, horse events are freezing, but I was pretty warm. And the moms had baked for us, so that was a nice added touch.
As far as riding, everyone did amazing from UNE! Bry placed first in her jumping class! Aubrey placed fifth and sixth in her classes and Catherin placed third! UNE did not place overall, but everyone rode awesome and had a lot of fun, which is what really counts! After watching the show I am a little worried about riding next year, but still really excited!
Then this morning I woke up bright and early for church, took a nap and guess what, I am back hitting the books again! And that is about it, have a nice week and I’ll talk to you later!

Hey guys! So Friday was the variety show. And it was okay. They had did the gym up really nice with a huge stage and gave out free popcorn. And there was small circle tables you sat at and then regular seats behind. I got a table with my friends and there were definitely some funny acts.

Then on Saturday was Miss UNE. This was so hilarious! It was a pageant, but guys were dressed up as girls and basically I laughed the entire time! My old R.A. Tony came out in a mock whip cream bikini, which was so funny, and he got second place. It was just super funny! The whole thing.
And on Sunday was housing selection. I was waitlisted. So, I have no clue where I am staying, although I am guaranteed housing as a sophomore. Aubrey got in to South, which are these huge suits for sophomores. Like, you share your bedroom with one other person and share you bathroom with 2-4 other people, but then you have a living room and kitchen in your suite too. I think I will probably get Freddie, which is the worst hall. Not really, but it has a bed reputation. It is kind of dingy and at the edge of campus. But, they are putting a ton of money in to it, so hopefully it will be nicer next year.
As far as the whole process, it was quite an ordeal. Aubrey’s appointment, for example, was at 4:45 and she got there at 4:30 and left at 6:50! Here’s why it takes so long, first, you have to wait in the Hang [a like on campus fast food place] for them to call you up. Then you go into another waiting room to fill out a housing contract and then after waiting in there, you get called into the final room, where you wait in a line and once you get to the booth you pick your room. Aubrey’s number was 280 [out of like 600 something] and she still did not get the housing she wanted, it is really competitive and a lot of people go in groups and use the lowest in the group to pick. But, it is okay, because even if I am in Freddie I still will be able to visit Aubrey in her room! = )
To check out more about the halls, go here: here!
But, now my weekly routine is starting again. Wednesday I have a math test and I pick classes for next year, plus Edge meeting. I have work all week and tonight and Thursday I am going riding [did I mention I am joining the riding team next year? Woot, woot! I am so excited!] So, craziness once again! I’ll post about this week maybe Friday and then Saturday I am going to watch the riding team compete in New Hampshire.
Talk to you all later!

Hey Guys!
Okay, so I know I said that I would post on Monday at the latest and now it is Friday, but all I can say is that I am a very bad procrastinator. Sorry! =)
So, anyways Sunday was so much fun! My roommates and I went to one of our I-Pod events with our I-Pod directors to Portland to see The Spirit of Uganda. It was this African singing and dancing extravaganza and it was so awesome. The performers were like from the ages of 5th grade to first year at Universities. But, they moved so fast and it was just really cool! I could not believe they were so young! Plus, the singing was amazing and the commentator was so funny! It was at the Merrill Theater and I had never really Portland before, so it was kind of cool to see that area. Don’t be like me; definitely check out Portland, it is so cute!! We also went out to dinner before at this Ethiopian restaurant. We had this communal meal that was like a huge piece of this spongy bread and then like these potatoes and sauces and salad. And you picked everything up with the bread. I loved it, because I love trying new food. I think that food is such a big part of the culture of a place, so like when you try new food you really get to know the culture better. Plus, on Sunday the weather was like so warm and sunny and beautiful! Overall, it was just a really awesome afternoon!
Then this week became a little busier. I have had lots of papers and tests to turn in, plus work every night! Then one night (I think Tuesday) I went to my friend’s ceramics class with her at Westbrook College in Portland. It was interesting, and I got to mess around in the clay. But, afterwards we ended up getting dinner, then spending an hour in borders, then spending another hour in Wal-Mart. And in Wal-Mart I found Sweeny Todd, so since that is such an awesome movie, I bought that. So, we ended up going back to her suit and watching that. Which means I did not sleep till like 2am! And the next night was a 1am night, because I went out to dinner with part of one of my clubs and then last night was the weekly riding night at Aubrey’s horse’s barn. So, in conclusion, I am so tired!
But, no sleep for me! Tonight is the 33rd annual Variety Show (like a talent show) and it is a huge deal! I am so excited and cannot wait to check it out! So, I’ll post about that and hopefully have pictures, like maybe Sunday at the latest.
I am actually really sorry that I do not post more often or about more interesting things. But, hopefully you’ll like all the goofy variety show pics!
Seeya later!
