The UNE Sex Show... and more fun things

Hey guys! So this has been crazy fun! First I went two of the first three basketball games… and we lost both. But, the one I didn’t go they won, so that’s good. But, the second game I went to it was a really close game and it was really fun to watch.,

Then I went to the annual Sex Show and Sexapalooza. This is an annual event that just answers any and all questions about sex and have activities like races to see who can put on a condom on cucumbers and bananas properly fastest blindfolded. My roommate and Megan raced and Megan won. It was hilarious!!!

Then on Friday night I went to UNE’s Player’s play called “And Then There Were None”. It was an Agatha Christy murder mystery and it was really good. The ending was awesome!! And in the spring they are doing Grease, which will be really awesome! Here are some shots of last night's play:

Oh and Thursday was also UNE's annual Thanksgiving Dinner, which was so yummy! It is a special dinner at the caf where professors serve you and the food is especially good! Here is what I had....

First Habitat Bake Sale

Hey guys! So this week was test crazy! I had exam after exam and ended up studying constantly. So, with that said, this is going to be a shorter blog, since not much happened that was interesting. Some interesting points though was on Saturday, there was our annual Drag Ball. Everyone got really into it, but I didn’t go to it, because on Saturday I had to get way too early for the first Habitat bake sale! And can I tell you how hard the brownies I baked were! Okay, actually Megan baked them and I bought them, but to gets these brownies done we had to rush to Hannaford’s after class (which brings me to another story. We were listening to the radio while we went to the store and there was this contest and you had to be the 9th caller for this song, so we were waiting in the car outside the store to be ready for the song, like going out of our way to try and win and I recognized the song and we both called and we were freaking caller 2 and 3!!!! And so we didn’t win free tickets to a concert in Boston, which was such a bummer!) But, back to the brownies… so we bought the mix after class, but we couldn’t bake them at school, because we had no oil or eggs or anything. So, Megan brought them to her house, but she had to work both Thursday and Friday night, so she ended up baking them after work at like 1am on Friday and then I had to get up at like so early to wrap them and all the frosting went everywhere and they were so messy… haha, but we did end up selling lots of them, so that was a positive. And overall, the bake sale was awesome! It was freezing and long, but we had a lot of fun and made a lot of money! This is always good! = )

Here is some pictures of that:

Weekend Fun!! = )

Hey guys! So this week ended amazing! I went to my friend’s Megan’s house for the weekend and it was super fun.

First, let me start by saying though it rained on like Thursday and I love rain! So, I was excited, because it was perfect weather and also the new on-campus café opened. So, on Saturday Megan and I got smoothies there. And then what else would we do, but play clue in one of our huge lounged! (We are kind of obsessed with that game).

This is the new cafe:

So this new Windward Cafe, makes super good smoothies with boosters in them with vitamins and more importantly, energy! I have a feeling I will getting a lot of energy boosters in the future. lol

1108081512a.jpg
We all take Clue very seriously! lol. But, I accidentally messed up the cards, so that one weapon wasn't passed out, so mid-way through the game Megan picked up the knife from the question deck and it basically ruined the game... lol but I still technically won, b/c I figured everything else out.

Then after we were going to dinner and then the hockey game, when we passed a FREE (completely free too) car wash. So we stopped there and I had totally forgotten how much fun it is to watch all the water and soup spray you and slowly fall away. It was so awesome! I loved all the pretty colors! Ha-ha.

And then we went to the hockey game, where UNE dominated. [When we left it was 6 to 2] We didn’t stay for the whole time, but we stayed long enough to watch students push other students around a course on little red tricycles during an intermission. It was hilarious! I would have taken pictures, but my camera was dead (erg, I was so mad!)

And then finally we headed to her apartment, where we got her bf to play clue with us and watched a movie and just hung out. And today we went to the mall, where I got my ipod fixed and did a little grocery shopping and then we dyed my hair dark brown. It is really funny though, because tonight Megan is going through a tough task of trying to cook a completely veggie meal, since I don’t eat meat. So, it took a lot of thinking out, but it should be good.

lol okay and so Megan has this boxer named Hayley and she is so cute! And so here is a couple pictures of her and me with my new dyed hair.
1109081903.jpg

1109081904a.jpg

and that's about it... tomorrow I have to get up super early to head back to UNE. Because Megan lives like 40 minutes away and I have an 8am class. But, it was a super fun weekend, and even though I didn't get any homework done, it was nice to have just a non-stressful work-free weekend.

And I hope your guys' weekend was un-stressful too. ttyl!

Election Day!!

Hey guys!! So normally I only blog on Sundays or Mondays, but since yesterday was such a huge day (and for those who havent kept track of my blogs, I love politics and election night is my favorite night of every 2 years, lol) I thought I would talk a little bit of what happened at UNE in celebration of the election.

Firstly. I had both of my political science classes yesterday and so a huge portion of both of the classes was talking about the election.

Then at 7 there was this huge party in The Hang, the on campus restaurant, for the election put on by POP (People of Politics). There was cake, pizza and red and blue balloons. It was so much fun, because most of my friends are republicans and so we were all there together getting excited and stuff.

And election night is really like the super bowl, because you have these two teams and you are just rooting them on and strategizing and being like, well if this happens we can still come out on top. And so we had my republican friends who were doing that and we were all goofing off and it was just a lot of fun.

Here are some pictures of the election night festivities:

obama1.jpg
These are my friends who were rooting on the red. lol, what I love about politics though, for me, is that people can root on the republican or root on the democrat, but still just laugh about it with no hard feelings and that's what made last night fun. We all had different opinions, but it didn't really matter.

obama2.jpg
This is the democrat club, after Obama had been declared the winner pointing to Obama's name.

obama3.jpg

obama5.jpg

obama4.jpg
and the good ol' red versus blue balloon war! lol

Then the democrat club came back to my dorm to watch Obama give his speech and to hear McCain concede. And props to McCain by the way, because he gave such a good speech! And Obama gave an amazing speech too.

And in case you missed it, here are links to their speeches.

And so like also as a little public statement, you all should really active in politics, whether it is with the republican or democrat party! Its super fun and rewarding! (When Obama was winning I just kept thinking of all those doors I knocked on in the freezing cold and all those phone calls I made! Totally made it worth it! Lol) And UNE offers so many opportunities with POP, Young Democrats and Young Republicans. And even though the next big election isn’t for 2 years, you can still be apart of it! So yeah… public statement over, lol.

Well, I’ve got to get back to work, but hope you enjoyed the election and all its festivities, even if it didn’t go your way and I’ll probably put one of my regular blogs sometime later this week!

HALLOWEEN! yay!

Hey Guys!! And Happy Belated Halloween!
Okay so this week was super fun, on Thursday especially. I went with my friend Megan to Kittery, where her dad lives. And then, her dad, her sister and her sister’s friend and us went to this haunted house place called Haunted Acres. It was super fun! It wasn’t as scary as the haunted houses I’ve been to in Cleveland, but I did scream a couple times. There was this maze that we totally got lost in for like ever and then 2 haunted houses, which were pretty good. One had an elevator, which was scary alone, since anyone who knows me knows me knows I hate elevators, like will not go on them ever type of hate. And then there was this haunted walk and I screamed the most there… And there was this creepy bunny and tall dude walking around outside… which made for awesome pictures, but I don’t have them. Megan does… so I’ll post them later… sorry…

And so then on actual Halloween I was pretty lame and didn’t do much, just hung out with my roomie. But, then on the next day was super fun and we woke up relatively early for a Saturday & went to the mall (me and my roommate Amanda) and went winter shopping!! Yay! It is super cold now (like its legit going to snow this week!) So I had to buy a coat, and I thought I wanted a pea coat, but the ones I looked at were too long and too heavy. Although, if you are into that check AE, because they have super cute pea coats!! And then H&M just opened in the Maine Mall, so we went there and I love love love H&M. But no luck on finding a coat there. So, to make a long story short I found a super cute puffy brown jacket at Aeropstale that I bought, and some sweaters and hoodies from other places.

Then that night a bunch of us from the floor hung out… nothing too exciting. And Sunday WE GOT A FRIDGE! Yay! My roommate picked up a fridge so that we can now enjoy cold pop or, in my case, SALAD! I am a vegetarian so I was super excited about that!

And oh here is something exciting. Well scary terrifying exciting. I was walking and minding my own business through campus when all of the sudden I see a HUGE skunk. Another one! I have seen like two in the past as well. I was so scared! So I just froze and it walked across the path and then decided to walk the other way. So, I didn’t want to bother it, for obvious reasons, so I just ran the other way as fast as possible. Lol. Here is a picture as proof though.

isn't it huge??

And now since I don’t have any other pictures to post, here is some photos from the last Habitat day that I didn’t have when I talked about that.

So as a final little so sorry for the lack of photos this week. next week I'll make to sure to have lots! And also if you 18, please vote!!! Its super important and if you live in Maine you can even register right at the polls! Whether it be Democrat or Reoublican, or Independent, make sure you take the opportunity to vote, if you are able!! = )
