Snow Day!!
Hey guys!
Not much has happened this week. Since I got back from D.C. I have been bogged down with work. Yesterday I read 150 pages for one class and after this blog I get the joy of reading more..
This semester I am only taking 12 credits (which for those who don’t know, is not a lot) but my classes are a lot of work.
Something that has happened is I did change my room around. Since it’s a new semester Amanda (my roommate) and I decided we needed a new fresh design. What do you guys think?

Now we have so much room! It’s really nice for movie nights or when we are playing games. There is just plenty of room for everyone to crowd in. And we are both huge Twilight fans, so we took the opportunity to show our Twilight pride. Me, for Team Jacob and Amanda, for team Edward (boo! haha)

Also, yesterday was our first snow day of this semester!

Everyone was going to go sledding, but after going to 9 stores that were out of sleds everyone on my floor just ended up playing cards and doing homework, oh and eating pizza that I had to pass on, because I am vegan for the week.
Yes, that is right. My friend Cait and I, because we have another friend on our that is actually vegan decided to try and go a week as vegans. And so far (1 more day to go) it has been easy. It is even easier on me, because I am vegetarian and once went 3 months during the summer as a vegan, but for Cait who is a meat eater, it was a little harder. Luckily, we have a lot of vegan options here. We always have a vegan meal (like stir-fry or tofu) and then vegan pasta, the salad bar and other vegan side dishes. The hardest part for me is desert. I love the sugary cookies and stuff, but with milk and eggs in them they are sure not vegan.
And the last thing that was exciting this week is I started the second book in this amazing series!!!! The series is called His Dark Materials…and it is so good! You should all check it out!
Well, now back to homework,
Talk to you later,
Marilyn

You guys should have paid off the cafeteria workers to get the trays that they are not using because of the "tray-less cafeteria experiment" for sledding! That's what we did when I was in school! They made perfect sleds! (we actually stole them, but it was long ago so I bet the statute of limitation is up and it was a different school!)
