Yikes.... Co-op time..... :O
OMG.... so you know how here at Wentworth we have coop terms, Well I think I have mentioned before that I have my coop term this spring 2008. I think the most difficult thing to do is find a job that you know your going to like and learn alot from. Well I think I have found it. Last week it became official, I was given an offer to work for Procter and Gamble and I accepted. Whoaaaaa.... I can t believe it, I am soo excited that I will be working for Procter and Gamble next semester, but there is a catch, I have to re-locate for it. There main head quarters are in Ohio, Cincinatti, YIKES!!!.... Yeah that part of it is a little over whelming, but I feel like its a great opportunity that I have to take advantage of.
Now what.... Its kind of sad because I have to leave everything, including my group SHPE and my RA role as well. It was kind of wierd because last week I had to send in a letter of resignition to the Office of Housing Residential Life. So its really official now, its goin to happen.
and then what....I have no idea, I announced at my last general body meeting for SHPE that I was goin to be reighning as President of SHPE @ WIT, which made me kind of sad, I have become very attached to it, but I guess thats what college is all about, moving on and just taking every opportunity that comes my way. I am goin to finish this semester off though great, and with great appreciation that I have been the 6th floor RA of 555, and the president of SHPE, oh geez I am getting teary writing this blog right now, but happy tears :D. YIKES!!!!!!!.....yup I think I have said that like 10 times already, but its the word that can best describe my emotions right now, hehe.
Ok....I need to end this blog before I start crying my eyes out, but I shall talk to you soon and let you know how everything is going. Next week is actually my November Program on my floor so I am excited for it, I think its goin to be great. Well have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I will, I cant wait to see my family, I hardly get to see everyone this semester, so I will be thankful to be able to spend this weekend with them, I do loove my parents and I appreciate them soooo much in my life. See them down there....

Yup those are my parent, hehe....they would kill me for this, but I just have to give them a shout out, they are who help me and motivate me to do great, o boy gettin teary again, time to go....byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I am backkkkkkk ... :D
Helloooooo....well I ma back on campus from the National SHPE conference in Philly, and it was a great wexperience, just as I anticipated. It was 16 students from SHPE, and I loooved how we all got along and bonded. Our advisor aalso went which was cool to get to know him alot better. Througout the conference everyone just did there own thing, and went to the workshops that attracted them the most, but when it got down to getting together and displaying school spirit and unity it was a great atmosphere, I am soo proud of us. We actually left on halloween night and we were expecting to get there in time for their halloween social because each school had to pick a movie theme to dress up as, and our theme was "Stomp the Yard" , haha...which was great, we all had a shirt theme goin on it and even a semi step routine it was great.... you can see down below how cool we were.lol....

The conference was overall a good experience, and because this was our first year as an official chapter we recieved our recognition award, which was a very good moment for Wentworth's Chapter. You can see below the pic of us lookin all snappy with the award....

Yup, thats us, SHPE @ WIT :D
While we were there for business, we also got to go do some sight seeing, and ofcourse we had to hit up Geno's to try the infamous Philly Cheese Steak, haha....it was great...

The trip was great and exhausting at the same time.....we got back Sunday night and it was off to the regular school days again on Monday...... dont get me wrong I was missing school the whole time I was in Philly, all I kept thinking about was my calculus hw and notes I had to do, and my calender for my buletin board that was due for my floor :O. ...
.Anywho, I shall ttyl....take care my peeps ;)

What a month....
Well hello students.... I hope ur having a good day. I am having quite a busy one myself, actually this whole month has been quite a busy one for me because I have been organizing a trip to Philadlephia for the National Society of Hispanics Professional Engineers Conference. Remember earlier I mentoined I was a member of the SHPE chapter, well on behalf of our school 15 students and I are going to the conference, which is being funded for us, on behalf of our group's budget and some help from the Student Leadership Programs Office.
This month has been very successful for me. Midterms were not too long ago and I was stressing them so much, because of course you want to know you are doing good in your classes, and for me, co-op is right around the corner so I need to keep my A game up. After the midterms were over it was back to the planning of the conference. Of course I was focusing on my classes, but living on campus lets me do other things that are fun. I can't wait to go to the conference with my chapter here, we all have so much fun on campus, its goin to be great to go to another great city and meet up with other chapters around the area. SHPE @ WIT( thats what we call ourselves.lol) actually just held an event here on campus in one of our main buildings. We had like a mini food festival type event where we all made a traditional dish and then brought it in and shared it with the student body, and we had some music in the backround, it was a great time, and a lot of the students responded very positively to it. See for yourself how the atmosphere looks....

Look at the members of SHPE go....hehe, they are probably goin to kill me for this.lol

It feels good to have a successful event on campus, especially when we are a new group. The SLP office gives us alot of support to help us get things done. Thats one of the things that is great about Wentworth, you get alot of support from the departments around campus, and the SLP office is a great resource for new or existing groups. Well I shall let you go, but look for me next week so I can tell you about the conference, which I know will be a great time and opportunity to network and meet big ppl( big corps I mean :P)....Peaceeeeeeeeeee.... :)
Oh....and let me leave you with our banner, SHPE says hi by the way.... :D

10-12-07
Hellooooo!!!!!!....I hope everyone is doing good!!!!..Well I seem to be doing very good a so I had like 4 or 5 of my residents birthdays this past couple of weeks and I gave them a Happy Birthday card right..... A few of them came and said thank you which made me feel good so I was excited to do that and I am like, hmmm.......should I start doing cupcake now too?...just a thought, but anyway my floor is doing great and I have absolutely so complaints. I also had my first program not too long ago, Poker Night and its values, which went very well so I am feeling good about my floor. But anyways so how is my academics going, well I seem to be doing good except for this one class, so now on Monday nights you will find me in the CTL (center for teaching and Learning) because I had to seek a bit of tutoring help, I just want to make sure I understand everything I am doing. So yea I seem to be having a good year so far, so we'll see how these next few weeks will go with midterms around the corner. Bye now till next time. :-)
