Kaitlyn McKenna

My name is Kaitlyn McKenna. I grew up in a small town about an hour south of Boston. My parents were divorced when I was two and since then I have inhereted a half sister and two step brothers, a step-dad and a step-mom. My family means the world to me.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've wanted to be an interior designer. I remember the first person who inspired me, Oprah. When I was 5 — I watched a "Home Make Over" episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show and from that day on I told everyone that's what I wanted to be, an Interior Designer. Now at 5 years old all I new about Interior Design was that I got to make my room pretty, with pink ponies and ballet shoes. At 20, I have learned that Interior Design is so much more. I credit all of my knowledge to my education at Wentworth and the Interior Design departments dedication to it's students. I also credit my knowledge to the Co-Op program. I am fortunate enough to currently be employed at one the United States largest design centers, the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, CA. I also credit ever-growing eduaction to Wentworth's campus groups and organizations in which I am apart of including the Student Association of Interior Design, Committee for the Awareness of Sexual Assault and the Orientation Staff. These departments and programs have given me the skills to survive as well-educated professional individual.
