Anniversary

For those who attended class here last winter maybe some of you will care to remember what happened on January 31st, 2007. It started off as a normal day until we suddenly hear reports that BOMBS had been located throughout the city. Still we continued to proceed normally until two such devices were found in our neighboring campus of Mass Art. Eventually we found out that the objects were nothing more than Lite Brite boards used to advertise the soon to be released Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie.

The corner on Evans Way was lit with the flashing blue lights of the Boston Police Bomb Squad as local news reporters from all over the city dropped by to investigate. I was one of the many standing out in the chilling air for hours on end watching the situation unfold and I even learned enough to land myself on the FOX News at 10 that night along with my roommate. Want to see my reaction, well here's the link...

PS: I'm in the Red Sox winter hat

Crazy Weather

Wow, we just had our first snowfall of the season, and right before Thanksgiving break too. What a pleasant surprise that was. I'm sure a lot of you were thinking of a high possibility of a snow day, but you need to remember that you're in college now. Only if the doors are buried under 5 feet will they even think of canceling class. I swear it is high school all over again to me. During a very nice snowstorm my school would be the ONLY one out of the entire county to remain open, it was infuriating.

On a lighter note snow has also been known to fall at the most unheard of times. For a few years I can vividly remember a good inch accumulation during early spring. My folks have even told me that it even snowed in May one year, in MAY!!! This just goes to show you, New England is home to the most unpredictable weather in the entire country and this is the season where all bets are off so garb your umbrellas. You never know when the sky is going to start falling.
