A Midsummer's Night Blog
Well the summer is just about half over for me already! It seems like it flew by in a lot of ways.
The cool thing is I already have one year under my belt now and I am officially a sophomore! My first year was awesome at Widener and, honestly, I’m excited to go back next year (after an enjoyable summer of course).
It’s somewhat strange when you first come home from college because you get accustomed to constantly being on your own and always having something (usually school work) to do. Now that I am home, I have no more school work to worry about and my friends aren’t right next door anymore. After a few days of being home and having next to nothing to do, I started CLEANING things! Haha, I guess I got so used to being busy that I was searching for things to do. However, that kind of died off after about a month and I started finding much more fun ways to spend my time. Of course, much of my summer has been spent in the pool or outside in this great summer weather!
Just about a month ago, I took a cruise to the Bahamas! I absolutely love cruises – this was the fourth one I’ve taken! I really had a great time and I ate some of the finest cuisine there is for 7 days (one of the best parts of the trip!!). We left out of Baltimore, Maryland, so it was a bit of a drive for us, but it was well worth it!
I took about a 100 pictures (I’m a photo-a-holic when I go on vacation), but I only included a few of them. Be sure to check some of them out, and I hope everyone else has a great summer!
The view during the trip out. As you can see the weather wasn't really that nice at first.
The housekeeping staff always makes cool towel animals when you leave for dinner!

Here's another one ^^^

The weather was much nicer on this day, and the view was absolutely fantastic. It's amazing when you are out on the ocean and all you can see is water all around...it really reminds you how awesome our world is.

This one was taken when we pulled into the Grand Bahama Island.

From this view you can see the Town Center of the island.

This is part of Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island.
Here's another picture from the Atlantis. This one is from the man-made beach outside of the hotels.

This was taken in Freeport on the edge of a beach that we ended up at.

This wasn't our ship, but I thought it looked really neat. It was docked next to us in the Bahamas.
Here's an up-close picture of the front of our ship. You can see the bridge in this picture (where the captain and his crew are).

I challenge you to find water this clear in the U.S.!!!
And finally, here's a nice pic of the water against the sunset on our way back to Baltimore...
