Tuesday-Busy Already!
Hi all!
Now that I have been in all of my classes once, it is back to busy! Today I have 2 classes and a super long senate meeting tonight [I hope I make it back in time for Nip/Tuck!]; not to mention I have a meeting to resign my lease for my house!
I will be out and about all day today...it's only the first week back & already I am beginning to feel stressed out!
Until next time,
Erika

First Week Back
Hi everyone,,.
My break was AMAZING! I spent 3 weeks in Hawaii and am completely used to 85 degree weather. This chilliness is not fun for me...
Classes on the other hand are always fun the first week. I have no Friday classes this semester, so I only have 2 classes this week. It's always fun to see who's in your class, who your teachers are and to start off the new semester optimistic.
I hope next week I am still this motivated...
Until next time,
Erika

Day of Tests!
Hi All!
Today at 12:30 I have a Spanish test, then at 4 I have a Statistics test... it was a long night of studying. It's wierd because that one test that I studied 18 hours for, I was really concerned about, and these tests I think will be easier.
I guess I shouldn't discriminate against classes :) and put equal study time into all of them, but the truth is sometimes going all out and driving yourself crazy is only necessary in dire situations.
Wish me luck & until next time,
Erika

Spartapalooza planning!
Hi everyone,
It is down to the wire and Spartapalooza (our spirit event/student v faculty/staff volleyball game) is next Tuesday! I am going nuts-there is so much to do! Planning just the volleyball portion is tough enough, but I am also involved in planning the spirit part too!
I have volunteered to be pied :( and the whole anticipation of the event is killer! It will be so much fun-let's face it-
free food, free crafts, free t-shirts, free games & contests. What more can you ask for?!?!
The weather is getting cold, and I finally bought a space heater for my room off campus. My room faces a huge bay window, and trying to keep it warm in this weather is next to impossible. The heater was only $20 (I am sooo cheap!) and it heats a pretty large area.
I am off to class soon! Until next time...

Stress-Free... FINALLY!
Hi Everyone,
I feel SOOOO relieved! My HUGE HUGE test on Friday went VERY well (after 18 hours of studying, if I didn't get an A there will be a whole new blog on Wednesday...) and Halloween weekend was the perfect finale!
Last week I was pulling my hair out! There was so much to do (3 presentations, 2 tests & like 97 meetings) and this week, although it is busy, feels like vacation.
Halloween was SO! much fun! My roommate and I dressed up in all black, brought pillowcases, made a black eye mask and drew whiskers and we went as cat burgulars! College students get so creative with costumes because everything is very low budget (we are all broke!).
Hopefully you will hear cheerful remarks from me later this week!
Til next time,
Erika

Busy Week!
Hi everyone,
My little sister came up from home this weekend and we had so much fun! She got to take a tour with me and get a first-hand glimpse of York. She really enjoyed it, but she still has a year left before she can apply for college.
Once I dropped her off at home, I realized that I had soooo much work & soooo many meetings & soooo much to do this week! I have 2 tests, one of which I already had (which I ACED!) and another HUGE HUGE test on Friday. I already started studying for that one. I also have 2 presentations and two group projects to meet for & work on.
Besides all that, this weekend is freshman open house, and on Sunday I am volunteering all day for the York Halloween parade. So basically, my week & weekend is shot. I guess I deserve it for having a smooth sailing semester thus far...
time to study/go to class/do everything under the sun.
Until next time,
Erika

Post-Break Reality
Hi everyone,
Fall break was AMAZING! I had so much fun, and not to mention my dad's cooking was to die for :). Although being home was fun for 5 days, I am glad to be back at York with my roommates & friends.
Alright everyone, until next time...

Ready for BrEaK!!
Fall break officially starts tomorrow!! I am in desperate need of a break and I am already in break-mode. I am going to Towson to visit my best friend from home for her homecoming! I usually go down there once in the Fall and then she comes up in the Spring. It's always nice to visit home sometimes...
Til next time,

Upcoming Week!
Hi all,
This past weekend was so much fun! I went home to help my little sister do her hair and makeup for homecoming... it brought back all the memories of high school! Then I realized that I am a junior in college! Things are starting to get a little scary for me- in less than 2 years, I will be a normal, functioning, working member of society! All of the fun of college, high school, and working over summers will be over!
I am in a little bit of over-stress mode now, and I have so much work to do! Enjoy school while you can, never take any moment for granted.
Until next time,
Erika

Weekend Update!
Hey everyone!
This past weekend I went on a student government conference in DC. It was a lot of fun, but the program could have been better. I did a lot of networking and made so many new friends! Not to mention the shopping was great!
It was an awesome experience, it is just hard readjusting to school life and coming back to classes! It's study time!
Talk to ya soon!

Another day at York
Hi everyone! Today I woke up and cleaned my room (the hardest chore at school). It is so tedious & once you do it, somehow it gets messy the next day! I went to class and found out that I did well on my test (the most relieving feeling at school)!
Now I have to get ready for my Student Senate meeting which is at 5, and then get studying for yet ANOTHER test tomorrow! See ya soon!

Hey Everyone!
Hi all! I am Erika, a junior here at York College. I am the Vice President of the Student Senate (our student-run government), an Ambassador and an Orientation Leader. I am a public relations major with a minor in Spanish and marketing. So far, my classes are going smoothly, but these past two weeks have been stressful! I've had three tests in one week, and I have two more this week.
On a lighter note I had a fun and relaxing weekend meeting new people and getting caught up with sleep.
I am off to my Special Events Planning class now... talk to you later!
