Hey everyone! Tomorrow and Friday I will be spending a lot of time preparing for the Criminal Justice Honor Society induction. Friday night we will be formally inducting new members into the group. Afterwards we have a dinner planned for the friends and family of APS members.

This weekend I have a lot of work to do! I have to prepare a presentation on medical anthropology, read for criminal law, and complete a lesson plan in statistics. Wish me luck!

I hope everyone has been doing well! I have had such a busy week. Yesterday I had a criminal law exam that I have been studying for over the past couple of days. Today I have been busy making up a lesson plan for the statistics class that I help teach with one of my criminal justice professors. Luckily I was able to take a break after my test yesterday, get some ice cream and relax.

Hey everyone! I just got back from a criminal justice conference in Cincinnati. I had a really great time! I was able to present a paper that my professor and I wrote over the summer of 07' on defining competency development in juvenile offenders. I also got to watch a number of presentations given by others in the criminal justice field.

This semester is flying by. Our spring break begins on Wednesday and I am visiting a few of the graduate schools where I have been accepted.

Hey everyone! It is almost time for break. I will be packing up this evening and leaving after my classes tomorrow. Over break I have two paper and one exam to study for, but otherwise I will be spending a lot of time with my family and friends.

Hey everyone! Right now I am busy studying for an exam that I have on Friday in my Grant Writing class. This weekend will be quite busy as I have a paper to write, a lesson plan to prepare for a statistics class that I am helping to teaching, and any other miscellaneous work I receive from my professors.

Hello everyone! Sorry it has been awhile since my last post. I have been very busy with work for my classes and extracurricular activities. The first Alpha Phi Sigma meeting is next week. Hopefully we will be organizing a fun trip and setting up volunteer work for the semester. As for my classes, I have a large amount of reading. Better get to work!

Hey everyone! Today was my last day of classes. It feels great to be finished with classes; however, applying to graduate school will consume much of the winter break -- the work continues! Because my finals for this semester consist of essay take home assignments, I am driving back to York to turn in two take home finals throughout the upcoming week.

Hello everyone! I apologize for my lack of recent entries. With finals week approaching, my schedule is quite hectic. I recently turned in my last paper for the semester (not including papers for finals) and have chosen a few graduate schools I will apply to for the upcoming school year. Our last day of classes is Tuesday and we will be having a study day (called reading day) on Wednesday for students to prepare for finals on Thursday-Tuesday of the following week.

Hey everyone! I just got back from a quick visit home. I have a lot of studying to do for a presentation on Monday and test and Tuesday. This time of year is very busy for many students. Finals are approaching and scheduling for next semester is taking place. I just had my advising meeting and I schedule on Monday. I only need eleven credits to graduate (I will take four classes, which equals twelve credits). I cannot believe I will be graduating in the Spring. Classes I will be taking for the Spring 08' semester are Criminal Law, Grant Writing, an Independent Study, and Anthropology and Medicine.
Well I better get to bed! I have a long day of studying policing tomorrow. Talk to you next time!

Hey everyone. This has been such a busy weekend. On Saturday Alpha Phi Sigma volunteered time at the Y.O.U.T.H. Organization. I helped with the sale of products in their student-run store, while other members of the group helped with parking, food, and games. We had a lot fun! I also worked on a number of school assignments. I wrote an essay, worked on a research proposal, and did reading for a number of classes.
Tonight I am going to type up a group project for my comparative criminal justice class. I better get busy!

Hello everyone! I just got back from a quick trip home and am preparing to go to an admissions open house event this morning. I am extremely tired but also very excited. Open houses are where hundreds of high school students that are seeking admission to the college come to tour the campus. I really enjoy showing families around the campus and answering any possible questions that the student or parent may have.
I better break out the rain boots... It is going to be a rainy day. Talk to you next time!

Hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I was able to take some time away from my studies to go to a local flashlight corn maze with my friends on Friday night. I was a lot of fun and my group was the winning team (we found our way out of the maze first)! The rest of today will be filled with studying for my policing exam. I hope everyone has a great day!

Hello! I just got back from fall break. After unpacking my laundry and some food that I brought from home, my roommates and I decided to go out for dinner. Tonight I have a paper to revise for senior seminar and some reading to look over before class tomorrow evening. Tomorrow I will be baking pumpkin rolls with other Alpha Phi Sigma members as part of the volunteer work we are doing for Olivia's House. I better get to work! Talk to you next time!

Hey everyone! It is great to be home for Fall Break. Yesterday I went hiking along the Appalachian Trail in Caledonia, PA. It was a lot of fun and the weather was great! Today I went to Apple Harvest. This was also a fun experience. I walked around the South Mountain Fair Grounds and had a lot of great food (pumpkin funnel cake, apple cider, fried mushrooms).

Hello everyone! This was a busy weekend. I have a been preparing for an exam in my theory and policy class and I helped out with a scholarship recognition ceremony. Because I am the president of Alpha Chi National Honor Society and a campus ambassador, I handed out certificates and helped with general duties for the event. New members of Alpha Chi were inducted into the organization and freshman scholarship recipients were recognized at the ceremony. Many parents were in attendance to support the students and enjoy the Fall Fest activities going on for the remainder of the day.
